I saw Chris and Frankie lying on opposite ends of a chair and it reminded me of the Bridge of Lions in St. Augustine, Florida. There, the bridge is guarded on each side by a statue of a lion.

After Rose returned from her business trip, Chris had no choice but to follow his natural feline instinct and lie on her suitcase.
When your clothes come out of the dryer with cat hair, there is no hope of controlling it. This is also why I check the washer and dryer before turning them on..
I don’t remember what was going on when I took this picture but I can only imagine that Frankie is on top of the china cabinet. All three cats get up there from time to time and when they do the other cats stare at the high cat like they fear attack from above.
I walked into the kitchen on Sunday and noticed Chris lying on the chair with his arm around Puck’s neck.
This was cute but it was no surprise because Chris is a very affectionate cat. He is always lying with someone, either human or feline. Puck and Frankie, however, will accept another cat’s attention but they don’t seek it out.
Don’t get me wrong. They like to play with each other, especially Frankie and Puck, but the close napping always involves Chris in one way or another. That is why I was shocked when Chris turned his head to look at me. I had to look twice. It was not Chris, but Frankie, lying there with his arm around Puck.
Our cats are just full of surprises.
Uh, Chris… Get up. My leg is getting numb.

It is very rare that all three cats are lying close enough to get them in one picture, so when they are, I feel like I have to share.
Frankie has this very cute habit of holding a blanket in his mouth and kneading. He especially likes our fleece blankets. We have one on the bed in the back bedroom that always seems to be messed up when we get home in the evening. One night we even found the blanket in the living room.
While I was up late on New Year’s Eve, I noticed Frankie was making biscuits on the bed. I don’t know how long he was doing it before I saw him but I recorded him for over ten minutes after I noticed him. Here is a shortened version of that video.
We call it “marching” in our house but most people call it “making biscuits,” “kneading,” “treading” or some variation. What do you call it?

I missed Photo Friday last week so I thought this week I would include a few extra photos of Chris and Frankie being cute. Isn’t this so much better than the fighting?
A little over a year ago we introduced our cats to the “Cat’s Meow” cat toy (read about it here). They loved that toy but we were not the best at remembering to take it out and turn it on. We ended up giving it to someone with more cats than us.
This Christmas we decided to buy them another one and hopefully be better about using it. Frankie was not around for the last one and found it quite fascinating, as did Chris. Puck missed out on the first round of playing because he was hiding under the bed, but he did get a paw in there a little later.
Chris had it figured out pretty quickly and was under the cover working at the mechanism.
I got a nice Christmas gift too. It is a Canon EOS-M digital camera that I took the video and photograph with. All in all, it was a very nice Christmas
