Here is a photo of Chris eleven years ago tomorrow. He was quite the player back then. I believe he threw his mouse and it landed in this large basket. He then went in to retrieve it.

The other day, Chris fell asleep on the bed before I had a chance to make it.

Of course, I wasn’t looking for an excuse to not make the bed but when one comes along I am willing to make a sacrifice.
Here is a picture from nine years ago tomorrow. It is Chris sleeping with Tigger and Abbey.

This was very common back then. Abbey and Tigger would be napping together and Chris would join them.
Lately Frankie has taken to lying by my feet while I am sitting in my recliner and watching television with my wife. When I get up to do something I don’t retract the foot of the chair so as not to disturb Frankie. On this particular evening I came back to see my seat had been completely taken over so I had to sit on the part of the sofa that does not reline.

A former coworker used to call situations like this “First World problems.”
Since adopting Chris, no cat has gone to him for attention until we adopted Floki. I have always seen Chris seeking attention from others but not the other way around. Puck may have occasionally gone to Chris but not enough to be memorable.

It makes me feel good now to see Floki seeking attention from Chris. I probably shouldn’t be thinking of this in human terms but I imagine sending a child to school but that child has a hard time making friends. Then a new student shows up with a funny Viking name that wants to be your child’s friend. I think any parent would be happy about that, assuming the new child is not a psycho. Floki may be a little weird sometimes but he certainly is not a psycho.
Here is Chris seven years ago tomorrow in 2014. I have several photos of him playing with a mouse that day. He still does that sometimes now but not too often which is why it is fun to look back.

By the way, our ninth blogiversary was two weeks ago on the third but I forgot to mention it. Hopefully I will remember ten years.
Here is a couple of pictures of Chris and Puck from seven years ago yesterday, June 3, 2014.

Puck and Chris got along very well and I always thought that Chris treated Puck like a father would treat a son. It is sad that we lost Puck at such a young age and we still miss him.
I have been busy and have not been taking very many pictures lately so I thought I would dig into the archives once again. This time I found a photo from eight years ago today that I did not even know I had. It is Chris in the bathroom helping my wife get ready.

The time stamp on the photo says 5:01 a.m. It surprises me that my wife was getting ready that early and that Chris was already on the job. It’s possible I forgot to “spring ahead” for Daylight Savings Time on my camera.
There is something about this photo that I really like but I am not sure exactly what makes it special. What do you think?
We usually sit on the bed for a little while before bedtime just relaxing and reading or we catch up on Facebook or play a game or whatever. The cats usually join us at that time. Lately Chris has often been trying to get under the sheets on our bed. The other day he had gotten under the sheet and blanket and fell asleep. I was worried he would suffocate so I tried to hold up one end a little so he would have some air.
Yesterday he started digging at the edge of the blanket so I pick it up for him and he crawled inside. I then pushed the blanket back so he was just under the sheet. This is what happened next.
Floki just can’t resist attacking anything that moves under the cover.
