Lately Frankie has taken to lying by my feet while I am sitting in my recliner and watching television with my wife. When I get up to do something I don’t retract the foot of the chair so as not to disturb Frankie. On this particular evening I came back to see my seat had been completely taken over so I had to sit on the part of the sofa that does not reline.

A former coworker used to call situations like this “First World problems.”
I think cats find a “pre-warmed” spot just too inviting to pass up!!!
Hugs, Pam
No doubt about that. 🙂
that happens here too… they want to be the chair-men who rule the house ;O)
That chair must be cramped. 🙂
Don’t you say the word, “EXCUSE ME!!!” in a nasty, sarcastic way…? Go figure. I feel like I’ve heard that before….
Love and licks,
Cupcake
I say excuse me all the time and my wife says I don’t have to say that to cats but I do anyway.
You snooze, you lose. I always defer to the cats. Husband always says, ‘They’re cats! Make them move.’ Clearly, he doesn’t get it. 😹
I’m with you.
I agree, no need to disturb peacefully sleeping cats when there are other places to sit!
Yep. 🙂
They sure do look comfy and I’m sure they appreciate you letting them rest!
They’re spoiled.
They are, but that’s what they are for, isn’t it.
So true.
frankie….way ta go dood !!!!!!
end ree sult…..a cheeved !!!! 🙂 ♥♥
🙂
Hey…the chair is free game if you get up!
I have to figure out how to not get up.
Um…you weren’t using it, anymore and it was already warm. LOL!
I wasn’t using it for fifteen seconds.
Yep. They lie in wait. 😄
That is funny. 🙂 Happy Birthday!
Thanks so much.
Let that be a lesson to you – if you don’t want to lose your seat, you’d better stay put! MOL
I need to learn to be lazy.
many years ago when I had my Angel Bobo, I had a couch with a recliner on each end. Will NEVER have one again. Bobo crawled INSIDE THE COUCH by going under the part that raises the footrest……took forever to get him out. Never again!
I always have to check to make sure nobody is under there when I close it.
At least you know your place in the hierarchy. 🐸
Pretty low I would say. 🙂
Hahaha! If one of you has a cat on your lap, do you ask the other person to do things for you and fetch things because you can’t possibly get up and make the cat move? We do.
That has happened. Usually my wife will ask me to do something for he but when she sees that I have one or more cats on my lap she says, “Nevermind, I’ll get it myself.” 🙂
