The other day, Chris fell asleep on the bed before I had a chance to make it.
Of course, I wasn’t looking for an excuse to not make the bed but when one comes along I am willing to make a sacrifice.
I usually don’t jump out of bed and then make it. There is some time for relaxing and enjoying a cup of coffee. During that time at least one cat will often decide to nap on the bed. Three cats sleeping on the bed when I need to make it is rare and a good reason to put off the task.
Of course, I can never put it off until the next day so I guess it is not very helpful.
All of our cats have two or three favorite spots to nap. One of Frankie’s favorite spots is in front of the television. He only blocks a small part of the picture but his presence is a distraction because he tends to draw the eyes toward him and away from the television.
Did you notice the scratches? I wonder who did that.
Lately, Frankie is on my lap almost as much as Chris is. One of the things he likes to do is nap with his face pushed into my stomach.
Coincidently this is what is happening as I write this.
Frankie’s nose tends to drip when he is happy which explains the wet spot on my shirt. Our cat Vinny did the same thing.
I am scheduling this post a week early because my wife a I are leaving on a week-long cruise on the 14th. We will have internet but probably won’t spend much time online.
I saw Chris napping with his arm around Floki yesterday and thought it would be the perfect photo so I grabbed my camera and quietly walked toward them but not quiet enough because Chris pulled back his paw as he looked up to see who was making all the racket. He then went back to sleep leaving me still a very good photo but not the one I wanted.
Here is another early photo of Chris with his adoptive sister and brothers. It was taken about ten days after we adopted Chris and it shows, even then, that he loves being the center of everything.
Here he is between Alex and Tigger with Abbey Sleeping at the top. Unfortunately, Flash is missing from the photo. I don’t think a photo exists with all five cats in it.
My wife would be very jealous if she knew who was spending time with me while she was on her business trips.
Our cats have always been drawn to me more than anyone else in the house, for some reason. So when Floki chose her over me for his number one she became very proud of herself. She likes showing off how sometimes Floki will let her hold him. It’s a real stick out your tongue moment. She would not be happy if she knew what he was doing during he absence.
