I have a shelf on my bookcase near where I work reserved for cats. For the most part, it is reserved for Floki because he is the only cat I ever see on it.

Here is Chris from exactly ten years ago when we lived in Myrtle Beach. I don’t know how his mouse ended up in the barrel. He probably threw it in there. He then went in there to retrieve it.

He was quite the player in his youth.
Chris was extremely annoying yesterday morning but he did take a break from his bad behavior to catch a few rays.

Here is Frankie on a recent walk. During our walks, he often takes a time out for some rest and relaxation.

About a year after I started this blog, I started another blog called Just Fur Laughs. It is a blog featuring memes with animals. I worked on it diligently at first but after a while it sort of faded into the background.
Meanwhile, Bad Cat Chris continued to gain followers on the blog but not so much on the Facebook page. So I decided to put Chris in charge of the Facebook page and he managed to get 2500 followers by 2015. At the same time, or maybe shortly before, I considered dropping the Just Fur Laughs Facebook page for a lack of followers.
Since 2015 however, Chris has pulled in less than 300 more followers and is at 2792. I’m not sure why that is because we post on that page quite often. Just Fur Laughs’ Facebook Page, on the other hand, has been steadily climbing lately and I am not sure why because I have not been very consistent about adding new content, although I plan to do better.

Even though Bad Cat Chris has way more blog followers. Facebook is a different story. Every day recently I noticed that Just Fur Laughs was gaining and has now surpassed Chris with 2846 followers as of Tuesday morning.
I guess the reason I am writing this is because I don’t know how I feel. On the one hand, I am very happy that people like my work, but on the other hand, I wonder why Chris’s Facebook page has become stagnant. I guess even after all these years I am still learning. What do you think?
Frankie and I went for a nice walk the other day. The first thing Frankie needed to do was get a good sniff on a nearby car.

The cat that he met on a previous walk may have left him a message there.
It was a warm day so we needed to stop in the shade for a while.

Then it was on to the traditional roll in the dirt.

And then more rolling in the dirt.

Finally we stopped to rest on some nice, comfortable concrete.

On a side note, I forgot to mention that Frankie’s paw improved on it’s own after he hurt it a couple of weeks ago. By the next day he was walking fine. I still see him holding it up in the air sometimes though. I don’t know if it bothers him or if that is just something he does. I will have to watch him more closely.
It just occurred to me that today is Chris’s birthday. I should have had a big, elaborate post planned for his birthday but instead all I have is a quickly thrown together post with a photo of Chris on top of our kitchen cabinets on his fourth birthday, which I have never posted before to my knowledge.

We don’t know exactly when Chris was born but since he was about six months old when we adopted him I just celebrate his birthday six months before his gotcha day. I will have to make sure he gets plenty of Stella and Chewy’s today for a treat.
Our cats love to take over our spots when we get up, especially Chris. Here he is sleeping on my spot on the sofa while his nice, cozy blanket is laid out for him in “his spot.”

Who else has to deal with this?
Here is a picture of Chris when he was around ten months old, taken on March 5, 2010. He was playing with this stuffed animal at the time.

I know the quality is not perfect but I like the look on his face. I also have videos from the same day of him playing with a Q-tip. Unfortunately, the videos are too out of focus to share, which is too bad because he was so funny back then.
