Frankie and I went for a nice walk the other day. The first thing Frankie needed to do was get a good sniff on a nearby car.

The cat that he met on a previous walk may have left him a message there.
It was a warm day so we needed to stop in the shade for a while.

Then it was on to the traditional roll in the dirt.

And then more rolling in the dirt.

Finally we stopped to rest on some nice, comfortable concrete.

On a side note, I forgot to mention that Frankie’s paw improved on it’s own after he hurt it a couple of weeks ago. By the next day he was walking fine. I still see him holding it up in the air sometimes though. I don’t know if it bothers him or if that is just something he does. I will have to watch him more closely.
oh how great that your paws are ok!!! …and rolling in the dirt is a mighty fine thing
I’m tempted to do that. π
Nice that you two boys took a walk together…….hopefully that paw holding up thing isn’t a sign of discomfort – maybe he wants to give you a handshake???? π
Hugs, Pam
I sure hope that is all it is.
Glad the paw seems to be better. I was wondering….
I’m glad too. Thanks for your concern.
Oh Frankie you are such a handsome boy!

It sure looks like Frankie was enjoying his out n’ about!

Thanks so much.
That’s why I never get to go on walks. All I wanna do is roll in the dirt. ~Ernie
It’s called a dust bath and it is actually a healthy thing to do.
Glad Frankie’s paw is better.
Thanks.
I’m glad Frankie had a nice walk! I hope his paw is okay and any issues just fade away.
Thanks, Summer.
Nice to know that your paw is getting better ! Purrs

Aw, I hope his paw is ok!
Thanks. He seems okay.
There’s nothing better than a good roll in the dirt. Even my daughters’ horses do that, especially after suffering the indignity of a bath. Somehow, I think we might be missing out by not rolling in the dirt. π
Glad Frankie’s paw is back to normal. Him lifting up his paw, Frankie has learned that will elicit concern and extra attention from you … it might be him gently pulling on your chain a little bit (LOL).
Cats are pretty smart. I read a book called “Eat Dirt” that essentially talked about the benefits of playing in the dirt.
Does walking him reduce his desire to run away?
No but after a few days he becomes very annoying and starts following me around the house meowing constantly. Taking him out reduces that for a while.
Sounds like his training you is going well, Mr. Charles. Purrs Snoops and Kommando Kitty
