Photo Friday: Don’t Tell the Mom
My wife would be very jealous if she knew who was spending time with me while she was on her business trips.
Our cats have always been drawn to me more than anyone else in the house, for some reason. So when Floki chose her over me for his number one she became very proud of herself. She likes showing off how sometimes Floki will let her hold him. It’s a real stick out your tongue moment. She would not be happy if she knew what he was doing during he absence.

Unfortunately, Chris is way too annoying at night so we have to close our door to all the cats when we go to bed. In Chris’s defense, he is only part of the problem. Frankie will jump on the dresser in the middle of the night and make noise by scratching at the blinds or knocking something over. Floki and Puck are mostly good but now I worry about Puck peeing on the bed since he has done it twice already and pooped on it once.
This means that somebody has to be the bad guy and kick out all the non-humans. That bad guy usually ends up being me.

Since we live in “The Sunshine State” getting outside for a little sunshine is easy, Dad willing.
Sometimes you want the full sun to work on your tan.
Other times relaxing in the shade is preferable.

I was looking through old printed photos and found one of our cat Princess from around 2001. She was looking into our blue toilet that we had back then. We had the bathroom renovated shortly after that and I completely forgot about that ugly thing until I saw the photo.

Everyone here is resting up for the big New’s Years bash at our house which will consist of two humans and four cats, possibly three since Frankie wants to expend all his energy before the party.

Now that the cold weather is over, our boys are back to napping in their usual places. They tend to nap by the windows during the day like Floki and Chris are doing here.
Photo Friday: Getting Ready for a Long Winter’s Nap
I hesitated to post another picture of our four cats on the bed together for the second week in a row but I couldn’t leave a cute photo like this locked away on my computer. It seems our bed is a feline gathering place when the temperature gets cold.
It has warmed since I took this photo and everyone is back to separate napping spots, except Chris who likes to nap on top of someone.
Photo Friday: Cold Cats, Warm Bed
The weather has cooled here recently and all the cats want to hang out on the bed more than ever before. I don’t know if the bed is warmer or if it is just a good place to gather and preserve body heat. Maybe after sleeping on it all night we warm it up for them.
This is the closest I have ever seen all four of our cats.
They often show up on the bed after their breakfast (which is before our coffee) and I feel bad about kicking them off to make the bed.
