Frankie is a Work of Art

Recently, I started following a blog called One Drawing Daily. The author and artist, Thomas, committed himself to draw everyday to improve his skills.

I paused after writing that first sentence because I realized I never saw his first drawings and I wanted to see how much he has improved. After looking, I believe he has improved but he also started out 100 times more artistically talented than I am now.

Anyway, after following his blog I also liked his Facebook page where he mentioned he was taking requests for drawings. Naturally, I sent him a request and he responded yesterday with this beautiful drawing of Frankie. You may have seen it before on the post “Could This be the End of Outside Adventures?”
I think it is a beautiful rendition. What do you think? If you like it, perhaps you can leave a comment on his post here as well. Just for a reference, I have included the original photo below.

I took these photos of Frankie the other day. I found two that I like particularly well but I couldn’t decide which one was better so I am including both. I think I am leaning slightly toward the one with the ears forward. What do you think?

Chris: Mom, this chair is really nice. I would talk to Frankie about keeping his claws off of it.

Do We Need a Day to Love Our Pets?

Yesterday was “National Love Your Pet Day.” When I heard about it, I couldn’t help but think that it is pointless to reserve a day for loving your pets. If you have pets, you should love them every day or you shouldn’t have them. How long do you think you would have a wife or husband if you reserved one day a year to love them. I know that sometimes I tend to over-analyze things. What do you think about this?

Frankie’s Big Adventure: The Movie

Sunday, Rose and I went out to do a few errands and have lunch. When we returned, Frankie ran out the door again. This time, by pure chance, I happened to be carrying my GoPro camera and turned it on as I gave chase. He led me on a bit of an adventure and I actually lost him a couple of times but the chase was cut short when Frankie caught a lizard and wanted to bring it home. I think he is more like Chris then he would care to admit.
