A fight between Frankie and Floki is a regular occurrence at our house. Mostly, Floki is the instigator. I don’t think there is animosity. I just think Floki wants to play.
How common is this at your house?
The other day, Chris was on my lap when he decided to jump off and onto the nearby shelf. That shelf has been exclusively Floki’s domain . . . until now.

It wasn’t long before he was napping there.

I don’t know if Floki came around later and found Chris in his spot. If he did, I am probably lucky I missed it.
Here is a post for Throwback Thursday from July 3, 2016. That was the day before we adopted Floki.
I have been busy and have not taken many good photos lately, so here is one of Frankie from this day in 2016.

Here is a story for Throwback Thursday about our cat Tigger and a very expensive bag of cat food.
Tigger is no longer with us but his memory will always be here. I was thinking about Tigger today and how we almost lost him due to a new food that was so good but so bad. Let us get into the way-back machine and travel back to Thursday, March 22, 2007. Wait…No! Let’s go back about a week or so before that.

I got a coupon for a free bag of a new cat food called The Good Life Recipe. This was back when I thought Iams was a relatively healthy cat food and that is what our cats were eating. This new food was like giving popcorn to a seagull. They loved it and ate like there was no tomorrow.
Even though I wasn’t as…

Our new cat perch is in an ideal spot beside the window and the aquarium. I think Chris agrees.

I am hoping to get some people to read and review my latest book, Identity Crisis, so I am offering it for free today on Kindle until midnight Pacific time. You can get it here. I am also offering Bad Cat Chris for free today which you can get here. That is good for people who want to know Chris’s origin story. My latest book is also available in paperback and hardcover, but because of the cost of printing, I can’t offer those for free.
Here is a look back at June 16, 2016, for Throwback Thursday.
Cats, like humans, follow a routine. Our cats are no different. Our catio has awnings that block the sun most of the day but there is a great chance to catch some rays after the sun comes up and all our cats usually take advantage of that. In fact, as I write this, Chris and Puck are lying in the sunbeam. I don’t know where Frankie is off to now but he is usually here to enjoy the sun.
This is not cat related but I saw these clownfish yesterday protecting eggs that looked like they were recently laid. Some of the fish in the aquarium looked like they wanted to make a meal out of the eggs, so I wonder if they will be able to stand guard 24/7 until they hatch and then protect them after they hatch.
Chris often goes outside when Frankie comes back from his walk. Unlike Frankie, Chris usually hangs around the driveway area. On this particular day, he was content with taking a nap while lying halfway under my car.
