After we got our new cat tree, Rose insisted I throw out the old one. I thought it still had some life left in it but it was easier to throw it away than to argue about it. This is one of the last pictures of it before it went away.

Our neighborhood is loaded with bunny rabbits (which I believe are Eastern Cottontails) but one in particular seems to hang out near our house. Granted, they all look virtually the same to me but I’m pretty sure this one rabbit is a regular. Perhaps he, or she, gets a kick out of riling up our cats.
It is so nice to see Chris and Frankie getting along.
It rarely lasts long.
Our new neighborhood is loaded with bunny rabbits. They tend to stay hidden during the day and come out to eat later in the afternoon and evening. Since we have moved here, we have seen them every day not far from our driveway. For some reason, they never seemed to show up on the other side of the house where our enclosed Florida room is. That is the room where the cats love to hang out because it is all windows on three sides.
That changed the other day when a small, adolescent bunny showed up just under one of the windows on the patio. Puck was the first to notice and he went crazy.
That was three days ago and we haven’t seen them since on that side of the house. I hope in the future the cats will see these bunnies more often.
While I was blogging yesterday, this is what I had to work with.
Chris was having so much fun playing with his cat toy that he got himself caught in the chair.
Tomorrow is moving day and Puck is blissfully unaware.
Today is May Ray Day which is a day to get outside and catch some sun-rays. If you can’t get outside, just find a nice window and lie in the sunbeam.
Even though I just watched a minor cat fight between Chris and Frankie, most of the time Chris tries to be friends with Frankie. Frankie, for his part, tolerates Chris but can quickly become annoyed by him. Here is one example of reserved tolerance.
Today is Chris’s sixth birthday. Actually, we don’t know his exact birthday but he was about six months old when we adopted him so I thought we would just celebrate his birthday six months from his adoption day. I thought it would be fitting to re-post some pictures of him at each year in his life.

Unfortunately Chris has been sick with a cold and we have to work all day and then go to a wedding this evening so he won’t get the attention he deserves. Perhaps I will leave the bedroom door open for him tonight.
