I have accumulated a ton of photos lately of our cats napping together on our bed, which has become a very popular napping destination.

Photo Friday: The Gift Guardian
After a recent shopping trip for Christmas gifts, Chris decided it was important to guard one of those gifts as soon as we brought it in the house.
Chris is certainly a proactive cat that knows how to take the initiative. Perhaps he would be a good example in an employee training class.

It is not often that all three of our kitties are very close together without any fighting so I was happy to see them like this.

Photo Friday: Television or Sleeping Cat?
All of our cats have two or three favorite spots to nap. One of Frankie’s favorite spots is in front of the television. He only blocks a small part of the picture but his presence is a distraction because he tends to draw the eyes toward him and away from the television.
Did you notice the scratches? I wonder who did that.
Photo Friday: Kittens
Since everyone likes kittens I thought I would show you some kittens that were at the SPCA in Largo, Florida the other day.
All of them were napping while I was there except the grey and white one. He lied on my lap for a long time but kept getting up to rub his face on my nose.
Chris’s Tenth Gotcha Day
It is hard to believe that Chris has been with us now for ten years. He is not as much of a “bad” cat now as he was in his youth but he is still a huge PITA sometimes. Now, for example, he is on my lap as I write this and is clawing at my face and chest trying to get me to pay more attention to him.
I decided to keep this post simple today since I have already made a big deal about many of his other gotcha days. This time I thought I would just find an early photo of Chris that I have not already posted on this blog. The photo below was of Chris and Tigger taken on December 3, 2009, less than three weeks after we adopted him.

Photo Friday: Cat Grass
I don’t know what people technically consider to be “cat grass” but for the purposes of this post I would say any grass a cat eats is cat grass. It is not easy photographing a cat eating grass because they move too much but I think I captured Frankie going for a bite pretty well here.

Shelter Kitten Making Biscuits
This cute little gold kitten was at the Largo, Florida SPCA on Monday afternoon. Since they are closed to the public on Monday and Tuesday, he is likely still there if anyone is interested.
Volunteering at a shelter is hard work but someone has to do it.
Photo Friday: Cuteness
I took this photo of Floki and Chris early Wednesday morning. Because of the poor lighting, the photo is not technically up to my standards but I thought it was too cute to pass up.
