It’s the cheese that they like so yes, I’m a sucker and pull off some cheese for the cats, but no bread. I have to draw the line somewhere.
My wife started a new job a few months ago that allows her to work from home a couple of days per week. The company provided her with a laptop and she had been working on a small table on our patio. The cats are all interested in “helping” her with her work, especially “Chris” who helps the most.
One day, Chris almost got fired when he dumped a full cup of tea on the laptop. It stopped working and Rose immediately took the battery out and let it dry for a day. When that didn’t work she brought it to a local computer shop who did nothing for several days and then said she needed a new mother board. Fortunately, I thought they seemed shady so we picked up the computer, brought it home and it worked, so Chris got to keep his job.
Puck works behind the scenes rubbing the excess good luck that all black cats have onto Rose’s computer.
It didn’t take long before Rose realized that one table was not big enough for three cats and all her work so we bought a small desk and put it next to the table.
Now she has more room for her assistants.
It seems that gold cats also have good luck to share.
I’m sure all you pet bloggers out there can relate to this.
I don’t know why but Frankie likes to lie in front of the television while we are watching it.
It is so nice seeing Chris and Frankie getting along and it makes for some very cute picture. I couldn’t decide which one to use so I am including more than one today.
I posted this almost two years ago to show how needy Chris could get. I was reminded of that at 4:30 this morning when Rose got up to use the bathroom and Chris and Puck ran into the bedroom. She didn’t have the energy to throw them out so she let them stay. Puck was good and lied on my nightstand but Chris would not stop annoying me with his biting, licking, scratching and whatever else he could think of. I put up with him for fifteen minutes and then I was forced to get up. He is now napping on my lap as I write this. Sorry but you may have to click through to the original to see the video.
Chris was being extra needy this morning and since I had my camera nearby, I thought I would video him for you. Enjoy.

My sister-in-law, Felice, has rescued many newborn kittens, including her latest two that I mentioned three months ago in my post, The Kitten Whisperer, At that time, she was raising two more rescued kittens after saving our Miss Luis. She decided to keep those kittens and they are doing well today as you can see from the video.
I thought this picture of Chris was too cute to pass up.
This is almost a repeat of last week’s post with Chris and Puck on Rose’s suitcase. She left for a business trip to Las Vegas the Sunday before last. Since her trip was already paid for and since I hadn’t seen my mother and sister in several years, we thought it would be a good idea for Rose to extend her stay and for me to fly to Las Vegas. My mother and sister live near Phoenix and planned to drive, with their husbands, to meet us.
While I was packing, Puck did what cats always do when a suitcase is out, he climbed inside.
Does anyone have a cat that does not do this?
Even though Chris is a bad cat, he has many good qualities. His affection towards others is a notable one. In the video below, he demonstrates that by thoroughly washing his brother Puck.
