I walked into the Florida room yesterday, or as we call it “The Cats’s room,” and was surprised to see Floki and Frankie lying together.

Typically, this kind of closeness almost always involves Chris. Floki and Frankie love to play together but they rarely lie together.
This photo was taken eleven years ago tomorrow on July 2, 2011. We visited my sister-in-law where I always get a bunch of good photos because she has so many cats.
Here is Holly, who is the original “bad cat.” We always wanted to take Holly home until we got a bad cat of our own.

I have made several Memes of Holly on my Just Fur Laughs blog, here is the one using this picture.
Frankie loves his little green blanket. We always put it on our bed for him when we make the bed. Lately, though, he seems to have lost interest in it until recently. Perhaps they had a fight and then made up.
Here is Chris in one of his favorite spots. When I approached him to take his picture he looked out the window as if to say hello.

Someone recently commented on an old post where I mentioned that I was worried because Chris was almost eight at the time and we had lost three cats, Tigger, Abbey, and Alex, all at eight years old. Now Chris is thirteen and still going strong. That is not to say he doesn’t have problems. He is still prone to ear infections, he is quite a bit overweight, and he possibly has arthritis to some degree.
Age has taken a toll on his “bad” behavior. He no longer fills his days with naughtiness, but he can still be plenty annoying. What hasn’t changed is his affectionate behavior. Chris has always been the most loving cat I have ever seen, both with humans and other cats, and that has not changed one bit.
He started out a little love bug . . .

. . . and now he is a big love bug.

I can only hope Chris will be with us for a long time because the void he will leave behind will be way too big to ever fill.
I dug into the archives again for this week’s photo. This was taken on April 4, 2010, which was Easter that year. We had a couple over for our Easter meal who happened to have a baby. When they took the baby out of his little rocker (or whatever it is called) Chris took over.

One of my first blog posts almost ten years ago showed more photos from this day. You can read it here.
If you follow Chris on social media you might have seen a similar photo but I wanted to post it here so everyone could see the sacrifices cats make so that humans can be happy.

Here’s Chris and Frankie forming an upside-down T while they take their catnap.

I just realized I did not post anything in over a week. I have my own part-time business and was supplementing my income with a part-time job. Recently that job turned into full-time and combined with the hours I spend on my business, my life has left me with little free time to do the things I enjoy, like blogging.
I will try to be better at posting in the future. While you wait to see if I live up to that, enjoy a picture of Abbey, Chris, and Tigger from April of 2010 when Chris was about eleven months old.

As a side note, another photo taken at the same time was used on my most popular greeting card on Zazzle. If you are curious, you can see it here.
