A cat has to be very comfortable with his surroundings to sleep on his back. All of our cats do this from time to time, especially Floki.

Chris the Biter
Chris really is a hoot sometimes, especially when he gets in his biting mood. I know I have written about this before but seeing it never gets old.
The Badness Continues
My post last week talked about how Chris can still be bad despite his age and weight and about him getting up in the cabinet to eat the flavor packet that came with the NomNomNow food. Now that the flavor packet is gone he is still getting up in the cabinet.
I think he was looking for it but when he realized it was no longer there he spied the container of catnip.
Naturally, as a punishment, I gave him some catnip.
This morning I went out for a bit and returned to find the catnip on the counter. I guess he struggled to get it open and then gave up without even trying to hide what he had done.
Stalking the Cottontail
Stalking the rare Cottontail Rabbit, otherwise known as the common bunny, requires great skill and cunning.
One must blend in with the environment . . .
. . . and remain hidden while the perfect position is obtained.
Once you are in position and ready to pounce . . .
. . . you only need to wait until someone removes the screen.

Chris never had a problem getting on top of the china cabinet when he was younger but a few years and a few extra pounds have made it impossible without my help. I guess it’s nothing to be ashamed of. Floki needs my help to get up there and he is only two.
Photo Friday: Saved By The Pillow
I used to think my wife’s pillow collection was excessive but this pillow saved Chris from plunging three feet to the cushion below. It might have caused him to enter a state of wakefulness. That was a close call. I will never again doubt the wisdom of owning three dozen pillows.
Our New Ginger Neighbor
New people moved in next door recently and Frankie and Chris were not happy about the dog that moved in with them.
Maybe they think there are enough gingers here already.

Rose keeps a basket by her work area that she uses for trash. The other day Rose emptied the basket and set it on the kitchen cart temporarily. Frankie immediately jumped on the cart, tipped the basket over, then got inside.
Cat Television
Of all our cats, Floki is the most interested in television. Often, when Rose and I are watching tv, Floki will watch too. Recently, I was watching a Youtube video about cat products that really peaked Floki’s interest.
Since I was already watching Youtube I decided to do a search for “videos for cats” and played one of the videos that came up. Floki was interested but he didn’t go crazy. I think he was smart enough to know it wasn’t real.
