I got up this morning and saw this.

I specifically bought that wooden holder to prevent Chris from flipping his bowls over. Obviously it didn’t work. It is very difficult to anti Chris something.

Here’s Frankie on a recent walk when he decided to lie down on a bunch of rocks.

Cats seem to like to lie in the most seemingly uncomfortable places.
I took Frankie for a walk yesterday morning. Everything went well for a while. Then a man wearing a yellow vest freaked Frankie out. He was the driver of a truck that was about to pull a dumpster. I don’t know why he was where he was but as he was walking back to his truck, he scared Frankie who started to run. I tried to keep up with him but he was faster than me and every time he reached the end of his leash that would freak him out more. I picked him up to show him that the man was not a bad guy but he wasn’t buying it.
He Jumped out of my arms and continued running, but his leash was partly wrapped around his neck. When we got a good distance away I was able to stop him and unwrap his leash.
That was when the man started the truck which made a loud beeping noise and got Frankie running again. He ran me all the way home. When I walked in the door I was breathing hard like I just had a workout. I really need to exercise more.
That was when] Chris wanted to go outside. I let him out and he proceeded to go into the yard to eat a little grass. The garbage truck was still making noise but it wasn’t bothering him. After a couple of minutes, a truck drove past our house.

It didn’t even faze Chris. He just casually looked at it after a drove by.

On an unrelated note, I am almost finished with my first novel. It is not cat related. Sorry. I hope to have it available in less than a month. I will let you know more when I know. Right now I have a lot of learning to do in a short time.
Very often Chris will poke my legs with his claws because he wants me to pick him up and put him on my lap while I am sitting at the computer. If I am on the sofa he will do the same thing so I will pick him up and put him on the sofa. I know he is pretending to be feeble because when nobody is around he has no trouble getting up on his cat perch.

Rose couldn’t sleep so she got up at 2 a.m. yesterday morning and found Frankie sleeping in Chris’s bed. She texted me this photo.

It was taken with an iPhone so the quality is not great but I don’t recall ever seeing Frankie in this bed so I thought it was worth sharing.
I dug into the archives again for this week’s photo. This is from almost ten years ago. It was taken on May 28, 2013. Chris used to spend time with Rose in the morning helping her with her makeup.

I don’t have any good new photos this week so I thought I would share one from this day in history. Technically, it was this day yesterday in history but who’s counting. Here is Chris and Puck on May 18, 2015.

I know this photo has some technical flaws but I think it’s cute.
Today we celebrate Chris turning fourteen. As I mentioned before, we don’t know his actual birthday but we celebrate today because Chris was about six months old when we adopted him on November 14, 2009.
I thought this would be a good opportunity to look back at his life in pictures.

I hope you enjoyed our little trip down memory lane.
After Frankie’s bad behavior on Saturday. I decided I was not going to take him outside on Sunday. He bugged me most of the day. Every time I got up he pleaded with me to take him out, but I held firm.
Later that afternoon, Chris sat at the door and asked me to let him out. Since Chris didn’t scratch my face yesterday I opened the door and let him out. Frankie was in the other room and didn’t see me do it.

It didn’t take him long to figure it out. Before long he was in the window very upset that Chris was outside and he was inside.

I felt bad for him but he needs time to think about how he can improve his behavior, which I am sure is exactly what he did.
I previously mentioned how Frankie can sometimes be oblivious to what is happening around him. Case in point: Two days ago we were outside and Frankie decided to start rolling around in the dirt, probably to the amusement of the cat lying on a nearby table.

The cat saw us but remained quiet and seemingly unconcerned. Frankie never saw the cat there watching us.
Today Frankie did notice an outside cat.

The cat made a short, howling noise and then remained quiet. Surprisingly, after about ten seconds, Frankie got bored and turned and walked away.
Every day is a new adventure with Frankie.
