Even though Chris is a bad cat, he has many good qualities. His affection towards others is a notable one. In the video below, he demonstrates that by thoroughly washing his brother Puck.
You may remember me writing about how Chris started tipping his food bowl over so he could eat the food off the floor because he was too lazy to stand and eat. I ended up purchasing a wooden bowl stand that prevented Chris from tipping the bowls over. To celebrate my victory I wrote a post called “Checkmate.” I was happy that I could finally outsmart my cat. Or could I?
I saw this the other day.
He always has to win. I don’t know how he does it.
I was thinking about a new post for my meme blog, Just Fur Laughs, since it had been a while since my last one. I started looking through recent photos with the hope of coming up with something funny when this picture caught my eye.
For some reason, the thought of a kissing booth crossed my mind. I thought about adding a sign that said “Kissing Booth” above Chris’s head but I could not find a way to do it so that it would be realistic. Then it hit me. Why not make a real sign?
I pulled a piece of paper out of my printer and folded it in half. I then found a marker and wrote my sign. After that, I attached two pieces of tape to the sign, attached the sign to the cat tree, and took a photo of it.
Once I had my picture, I emailed it to my desktop computer and opened it in Paint Shop Pro. There I cut the sign out of the photo and opened up the original photo and placed the sign at approximately the same location.
You can see the final result here. What do you think?
A few weeks ago I was honored to be selected for the Sunshine Blogger Award and I have struggled to find the time to acknowledge it until now. It was given to me by Spence’s Girl who has a great blog that is worth checking out.
While I am honored to receive awards like this, I typically don’t perpetuate them but this time I thought It would be fun to follow the first half of the rules which are as follows:
Thank the person who nominated you! Answer the 11 questions you were asked. Nominate 11 other bloggers and let them know they were nominated. Ask the nominees 11 questions
I am not sure where the Sunshine Blogger Award originated. I tried to find the origin but could not. I did find the Liebster Award to be very similar. So anyway, here are my questions:
Here is one of Frankie’s vet visits from February 2016 for Throwback Thursday. I can’t remember the last time Frankie has been to the vet. At almost twelve years old, he is in very good health, except for all the sneezing he has done since we adopted him.
Frankie has been having sneezing attacks for a couple of weeks now and I avoided taking him to the vet because I didn’t think there was much they could do about a cold. After about a week he was sneezing less but a few days ago he started sneezing again. This time there was a lot of Phlegm that went with it. It wasn’t long before we had cat snot all over the house.
Sometime late Friday or early Saturday we noticed a little blood mixed with the mucus on a closet door near where Frankie just sneezed. We decided then that a vet visit was required but Saturday was the only day we could bring him so I called Puck’s latest vet as soon as they opened to see if they could squeeze him in. Unfortunately, they were already overbooked and they closed at noon so I had to try…
I was looking through photos and found this one of Frankie from a few weeks ago. Frankie likes to stretch out his long body and doesn’t care that anyone can see him.
We had a couple of cat beds on the cat trees in the Florida room. My wife decided it was time to wash them so I put them in the washing machine. When I took them out I noticed one of them was ripped pretty bad so I had to throw it away.
Last weekend we were in Marshall’s and they had and entire row of shelves, on both sides, with just pet beds. I picked out a good size rectangular bed for Chris but Rose wanted to get an extra one for Floki so we bought a smaller round one for him.
When we got home I didn’t want to put the beds on the cat trees right away because Rose had put something else down when she removed the beds. I don’t remember if they were folded up blankets or what but I thought I would wait until those needed washing before replacing them with the beds. Without knowing what to do with the beds, I put Chris’s bed on the Floor in the living room. Almost immediately Chriswas nappingin his new bed..
I changed my mind about replacing the blankets and put the good washed bed and Floki’s bet out in the Florida room.
They went unnoticed. Instead, Floki took over Chris’s bed when he got up.
We felt that because Chris is old and doesn’t like to jump anymore he would prefer his bed on the floor. So we decided to keep his bed there and put Floki’s bed next to his since Floki likes to hang out with Chris. What we didn’t expect was that the cats wouldn’t understand who’s bed belongs to who.
Since they are cats, I should not have expected anything different.
