On our walk on Tuesday Morning, Frankie decided to check on our neighbor’s female cat, who is also named Frankie. He first peeked through the door, but the inner door was closed, and he couldn’t see anything, so he climbed onto her chair and looked through the window.
Here is a photo of Chris from May 17, 2011. I don’t know if someone yelled at him to get off the refrigerator or if he had seen enough and was on to the next thing.
Here is a post from August 2016. After almost nine years together, Frankie and Floki still play regularly. Floki chases Frankie in one direction, then they switch, and Frankie chases Floki the other way.
Frankie helped me make the bed yesterday morning. When I’m done, I always put his blankie on the bed. Since he was in the way, he ended up under his blankie.
The scene repeated this morning, but Frankie moved while I got my phone to take his picture.
We adopted Floki on the Fourth of July 2016. This post was from August 22 of that year. I didn’t remember how long our cats had dealt with illnesses after Floki’s adoption.
Rose ordered See’s candy for Easter and put some in a gift bag for our next-door neighbor. She then asked me to bring the candy to her house the day before Easter.
After arriving with the candy, my neighbor invited me inside. She is our neighbor who also has a cat named Frankie, but her cat is female. When we first met our new neighbor, her cat hid in the bedroom, so we never saw what she looked like. This time, she was out in the same room with me. She kept her distance, but she did allow me to open the door so she could escape outside.
When I returned home, I took Frankie for a walk. Our neighbor saw us, opened her door, and invited Frankie inside. Frankie gladly accepted and investigated her house as if he had just bought the place. The back door was open, but the glass storm door was closed. Frankie looked out the door and saw her Frankie looking back at him. It was every bit the look that you would imagine and then some.
The next day, while walking Frankie, our neighbor again invited us inside. This time, her Frankie was also inside. I think she wanted the cats to get to know each other since they have seen each other through the screens many times. I was not sure that was a good idea but Frankie was all for it so I figured that there was a small chance they would like each other. After all, it was a male and a female, not two males.
It did not go well. Frankie was eager to meet her and walked to where she was behind the sofa, but she growled and hissed before running to the other side of the room, near the front door. That is when I took my phone out and started recording.
I think Frankie is getting too comfortable visiting the neighbor’s house. This was him yesterday.
