We got our Art of Paws Heated Pet Mat six years ago. Since then, we have been using it without the heating element most of the time. I put the heating element back in when it gets cold, which isn’t very often in Florida but it did come in handy when we were in West Virginia. It hasn’t been particularly cold here lately, but we have woken up to temperatures in the forties a few days these last couple of weeks.
My wife was using a heating pad last Mondy. She set it on the bed and Floki discovered it.
Upon seeing this, my wife politely ordered me to put the heating element back into the cats’ heated mat. I did so and it was an instant hit.
I don’t have a photo of Frankie on the mat, but I am certain I have seen him on it.
Does anyone else have a heated mat or pet bed? If so, how popular is it?
Heated mat is a GREAT idea. I don’t have one, but I should. I have 6,000 fleece blankets instead.
Love and licks,
Cupcake
It is good to have on cold days.
I’m the heated pet mat! As soon as I get into bed, two of the cats snuggle next to me and stay there all night.
What do they do during the day?
They sleep without me. Interesting, right?
We do not have a heated pet bed. However, I have a bed warmer on my bed. I turn on the side of the bed I don’t use for the cats. It has been a hit with Snoops, Kommando, Sgt Stripes, and Gypsy (my daughter’s cat who invaded Sgt Stripes space upstairs).
Yes. I bet they love that.
They sure look happy! I bought 2 heated beds but nobody would use them so they got donated to the shelter.
I wonder why they didn’t like them.
Lucky kitties. My Joanie has been getting the heated blanket most of the time. Friday tries to steal it sometimes though.
I would think there would be plenty of room on a heated blanket.
I’ve been threatening to get one of these for a while, my cats all want my heating pads!
They love the warmth. When we were up in West Virginia Frankie would lay on the heating vent.
Angel Sammy liked his heated mat……it was his favorite spot his last year or so. Here in our house we have the heat on through winter and there are three floors full of wonderful vents in the floor and everywhere. Teddy knows where all of them are and makes it his habit to “nest” right by one of them during the winter months!
Hugs, Pam
Frankie did the same thing up in West Virginia.
I got one but Persian kitties – my Andy and his late brother, Dougy – seem to grow sufficient coats to ward off the cold. On the other hand, the air conditioner is the favorite way to deal with hot days, with a fan added to AC seems the best solution then.
They sure are enjoying that heated mat. I know Ernie loves his heated bed.
Louis Catorze doesn’t have one, mainly because I’m not sure I could stand the Unrepeatable Expletives from Cat Daddy if I were to suggest it.
Don’t suggest it. Just buy it, and earplugs too. 🙂
Floki stealing my heating pad was very funny!
Yes, it was.
awww they love it!
Yes, they do. It is a very low heat. I’m surprised they even notice it
