My wife and I went away over the weekend for our seventeenth anniversary and our wonderful friend and cat-sitter, Lynn, stopped by twice a day to take care of our cats. She is good because she spends a little time playing with them and she also sends us pictures as well.
Our two gold cats, Chris and Frankie, are never shy around strangers. Even though Lynn is not a stranger, she is also not a common person in our house.
Chris loves everyone. Darth Vader could walk through the door and Chris would want to greet him.
Frankie is almost like Chris. He had no problem rolling on his back to show Lynn his belly.
Puck is our shyest cat but he knows Lynn pretty good and had no problem leaving poop on the floor for her to clean up… twice. Puck also cannot get on the china cabinet without first jumping on my shoulders or Rose’s. He has us trained to know when he wants to get up there. He does not have lynn trained so it came as a surprise to her when she bent over to pick up the water bowl and Puck used her as a springboard. I would guess he is comfortable with her.
Floki has met Lynn but he is less familiar with her and hid in the bedroom on her first visit. He did eventually come out because, after all, there are no food bowls in the bedroom.
Your turn. I’d love to hear about your pet-sitter.
maybe your catsitter can make a video next time when puck is in the mood to watch the things from a higher pawsition LOL
I will put in a request. ๐
We don’t have a pet sitter………..we take overnight trips – just one night – OR a big fat vacation…..in the case of the overnighters Sam is fine on his own…..for the BIG FAT trips he goes to the kennel that’ s been his “home away from home” since he was a baby. Sounds like you hit the jackpot with yours though!

We are lucky.
We love our pet sitter! In fact we get to see her today because my human is leaving town early in the morning and her boyfriend doesn’t get home until late that night. I don’t get to see her that often because I am usually with my human, but not on this trip.
I’m glad you have a good sitter too.
This was so cute! Cody is like Chris, he has to greet EVERYONE who enters our home. He knows our usual pet-sitter quite well too. Dakota is more hesitant with strangers (but he knows and loves our usual pet-sitter), but for other strangers, he actually hides BEHIND Cody!
That’s funny. Dogs are usually excited to meet people, after they stop barking. ๐
That cat sitter sounds like a trooper – cleaning up poop and playing trampoline. Well done keeping it interesting for her, kitties.
Love and licks,
Cupcake
She is a keeper. ๐

Ha. Not quite. She did get a bracelet though.
We wish we could find a good pet sitter. There’s no one in our area so the mom and dad can never go away together. Happy Anniversary!
We found a friend who has cats. We pay her but I’m sure she only does it as a favor.
Happy Anniversary! Sounds like your kitties have a good sitter. Mine have my Mom ( Grammie).
Thanks. Moms are always good too. ๐
