I got up this morning and saw this.

I specifically bought that wooden holder to prevent Chris from flipping his bowls over. Obviously it didn’t work. It is very difficult to anti Chris something.

Here’s Frankie on a recent walk when he decided to lie down on a bunch of rocks.

Cats seem to like to lie in the most seemingly uncomfortable places.
Nothing attracts cats more than luggage and laundry, at least nothing inedible. My wife had her suitcase out Sunday morning because she was leaving on a business trip. At the same time, I was folding towels that just came out of the laundry. I don’t have to show you photos for you to know what happened next, but I will anyway.

After Rose left and the towels were put away, Floki and Chris remained.

I took Frankie for a walk yesterday morning. Everything went well for a while. Then a man wearing a yellow vest freaked Frankie out. He was the driver of a truck that was about to pull a dumpster. I don’t know why he was where he was but as he was walking back to his truck, he scared Frankie who started to run. I tried to keep up with him but he was faster than me and every time he reached the end of his leash that would freak him out more. I picked him up to show him that the man was not a bad guy but he wasn’t buying it.
He Jumped out of my arms and continued running, but his leash was partly wrapped around his neck. When we got a good distance away I was able to stop him and unwrap his leash.
That was when the man started the truck which made a loud beeping noise and got Frankie running again. He ran me all the way home. When I walked in the door I was breathing hard like I just had a workout. I really need to exercise more.
That was when] Chris wanted to go outside. I let him out and he proceeded to go into the yard to eat a little grass. The garbage truck was still making noise but it wasn’t bothering him. After a couple of minutes, a truck drove past our house.

It didn’t even faze Chris. He just casually looked at it after a drove by.

On an unrelated note, I am almost finished with my first novel. It is not cat related. Sorry. I hope to have it available in less than a month. I will let you know more when I know. Right now I have a lot of learning to do in a short time.
Very often Chris will poke my legs with his claws because he wants me to pick him up and put him on my lap while I am sitting at the computer. If I am on the sofa he will do the same thing so I will pick him up and put him on the sofa. I know he is pretending to be feeble because when nobody is around he has no trouble getting up on his cat perch.

Here is a post about Puck from almost exactly seven years ago for Throwback Thursday.
As some of my readers know, our Puck has struggled with an over-grooming problem since shortly after we moved into our new home just over a year ago. He licked most of his fur off of his legs and backside.
The first vet we brought him too said he had a flea allergy even though the vet never saw any fleas on Puck and neither did we. Nonetheless, and gave him a steroid and antibiotic along with flea medication. I don’t know what brand it was but I do know we were buying Advantage at Petsmart after that for a ridiculous amount of money.
None of that worked although he did get slightly better for a short time before getting worse again. Off we went to vet number two several months later. He checked the records from the last vet and then did a test for mites. When that came back…

Rose couldn’t sleep so she got up at 2 a.m. yesterday morning and found Frankie sleeping in Chris’s bed. She texted me this photo.

It was taken with an iPhone so the quality is not great but I don’t recall ever seeing Frankie in this bed so I thought it was worth sharing.
Here is another Throwback Thursday post about lizards. This is from almost exactly 7 years ago.
Sunday I decided to take Frankie for a walk. He loves to be outside but since he is an adventurer, I have to bring him out on a leash and harness. That means he doesn’t go out much because I am either too busy, too tired, it’s too hot outside, or I am just plain lazy. These are the same reasons I don’t have a dog.
Frankie likes to travel in a straight line down the sidewalk, like he knows what it is for, pausing occasionally to smell stuff and then moving on.
I let him lead and keep hoping he will eventually start travelling back toward home but he rarely does. I usually have to pick him up and carry him home. I tried to pick him up on this day but he would have none of it and changed direction on his own and headed home.
When we…

I dug into the archives again for this week’s photo. This is from almost ten years ago. It was taken on May 28, 2013. Chris used to spend time with Rose in the morning helping her with her makeup.

For Throwback Thursday here is a post from exactly seven years ago. It was bedmaking time and you know how fun that is.
I’m sure almost everyone reading this understands the difficulties of making the bed with cats around. In my house, it is usually Chris who wants to be covered with a sheet or blanket, but the other day Frankie ended up under the sheet. When Puck saw him under the sheet he got all frisky and started attacking Frankie.
It’s funny to watch those two sometimes. Often we will see Frankie chase Puck through the house and a few seconds later we will see Puck chasing Frankie. It usually seems friendly but there are also many times when someone loses a big chunk of fur.
