My wife and I usually sit up in bed for a while before turning in. This gives the cats time to visit with us before we have to lock them out. I have to cover myself with the blanket because Chris can be quite annoying with his scratching, which is why we have to lock them out.

“their daily unproductive meeting” I love it! I feel your pain. My husband puts Roary in the bedroom with me while he gets ready for work and takes Levi out. The entire hour that he’s in there with me he is either sitting on my back, licking my hair, licking my eyes or puts himself right in my face staring at me. I never get any significant rest in that hour!
But they’re so cute!
