Yesterday evening Floki was sleeping on the sofa in Chris’s spot. Chris saw that, jumped on the sofa, whacked Floki until he left, and then lied down in his spot. I made a comment that Chris was a bully and my wife agreed.
This morning I was sitting up in bed enjoying my coffee when Frankie got on my lap looking for attention. As usual, when Chris saw that he immediately placed himself between me and Frankie. There was no whapping but Frankie doesn’t want to deal with Chris so he moves away. This was the scene a couple minutes later.

Chris has been this way since day one when we let him out of his carrier and he immediately took over the home, much to the chagrin of our other four cats.
I guess every “pack” has an alpha male………Chris fills the bill! LOL
Hugs, Pam
Cats don’t really have alphas but Chris doesn’t know that.
We’ve known a lot of people who have multiple cats and there seems to be (often) ONE who doesn’t know that “no alphas with cats” thing either! HAHAHA
I agree. The experts say no but reality says yes.
Floki needs to learn to fight back. 🙂
The funny thing is Frankie and Floki have no problem taking Chris’s wet food from him. Dry food is another story.
Brat…Cat…😄
Yep. 🙂
Dang Chris, you need to be nice to the family silly boy!
I try to tell him
He is so cute that his bulliness is forgivable. 🙂
It shouldn’t but cuteness counts.
Binga was kind of like that. With a lot of other, tortie-related quirks.
I quess there is one in every family.
dood….we bee thinkin …gel uz….knot sew much….bull lee ~~~ ??? may bee ???? ♥♥
Definitely jealous.
I dunno about NOT having Alphas…I, Marv, have been known to exactly what Chris has done…I think some of us cats are a little more possessive of our humans. BTW Kozmo and I get along quite well most of the time except when it comes to Mom…
I think maybe wild cats have no alpha but housecats sure do.
Yeah Jealousy can sure be a problem. Depending on the situation, Zebby and I’s can both be the aggressor. Altho’, I’s better at hiding it and making it look like I’s the hurt innocent one. MOL Big hugs
Luvs ya’
RaenaBelle and Zebby
Thanks. 🙂
I like when they still can hang out together on a distant, after the ‘fight’😸Pawkisses for an Easy Day🐾😽💞
Yes, they don’t hold grudges.
My Caitie acts like an alpha. She found that she can no longer intimidate Pinky. Poor Susie is taking the brunt of Caitie’s bad behavior.
Despite what they say, I think it is common to have an alpha housecat
