My wife left for Virgina on Tuesday Morning for a work trip. I thought it would be a good time to set up my security camera so that you can better understand why we have been closing Chris out of the bedroom all these years. The camera only records when it detects movement. Even so, it recorded over 25 minutes of video. I was able to cut it down a little but it is still long. I should have quadrupled the speed during processing but I just now thought of that. I think after a few minutes you will get the idea.
There is a time stamp on the video so you can see what time it was for each disturbance. Chris was actually pretty good and didn’t start with his shenanigans until almost 1:00 a.m. It’s hard to see but he likes digging his claws into my skin which is what is most disturbing.
Well he gets points for persistence but that truly has to be ANNOYING! Ted wakes me about four times a night but NOT “in person” – he calls me from downstairs. Like a well trained circus animal I get up to go downstairs to make sure all is well…..it always is…..he usually wants me to let him outside (HAHAHAHAHA) in the middle of the night. I’d go nuts if he acted like Chris though………!!
Hugs, Pam
Frankie is like that somewhat. Last night, for example, just before we went upstairs far bed, he was standby the back door giving me that look like he wanted to go outside at nine o’clock.
He knows what he wants!!!
He wants to be a pain. 🙂
Chris is adorable. Persistent, and does he ever sleep??, but adorable. Our cats sleep with us, but luckily, they actually sleep. At 6:30 like clockwork, Piper starts nudging my hand and walking on top of me to let me know it is breakfast time.
Our cats last until about 5 a.m.
hmm I see what you mean! Le Bleu likes to play with my face, and bite my nose just after lights out, but usually then settles for the night.
You are lucky.
Oh my, it seems Chris wants to party all night . . .
And sleep all day.
Chris is a needy boy. 🙂
Very needy.
That gave me a Huge Laugh! What a bugger. Rumpy was like that when he was younger but has calmed down. Now he waits till I move a slight bit past 430 – 5am and will start yowling and pat me with his long claws that he allows no one to trim (Vet and 2 techs failed.) Truth is today he got me up early but when I finally rolled out I told him how much I loved him and kissed his big furry head.

Chris is twelve and a half. When is he going to calm down?
He just can’t stand that you’re not paying attention to him. You need to find him a robot petting hand purrhaps.
That would be a great invention.
Chris is the cat who loves too much! Even he might disturb my human – and she sleeps so deeply that her boyfriend can get up and do a bunch of stuff and come back to bed and she won’t have moved.
That is like my wife. I just got up, went down the creaky stairs, brought up food for Chris, went back down the creaky stairs, brought coffee up, brought the cat food plates down came back up the stairs and sat down on this creaky office chair and typed this message. She is still sleeping.
Wow. He’s even more determined than Kommando. Has he always been that bad?
Pretty much always. His method of annoyence has changed slightly but not the quantity.
OMG I AM DYING LAUGHING! I literally am laughing out loud! I watched 4 minutes in but will go back and finish watching (have to go to the dentist). You have the patience of a Saint!! I cracked up when he had his paws on your shoulders and everything!!! He is persistent for sure!!!!!! This reminds me of the Simon’s Cat videos! MOL!!
My wife thought I was weird for posting that but I thought people really could not imagine how bad he is without seeing for themselves.
