Here is a post from January 2015 for Throwback Thursday. Chris does not bite legs as much these days but he has found other ways to annoy. I work from home more now and while I am working he will scratch my legs to let me know he wants to be picked up and put on my lap. He will then sometimes nap but usually he starts digging his claws into my face and chest. The problem is, if I put him down he then retaliates by biting my legs.
My wife has been sick the last couple of days and has not slept well due to difficulty breathing through her nose. In spite of her need for rest, she brought several hours of work to do at home. After we ate dinner she was too tired to work and went to bed early. At 2:30 this morning she was again having trouble sleeping so she got up to do her work. I woke up briefly when she got up but quickly fell back asleep until 4:30 when I heard Rose yell, βChris! Stop that!β I think I may have heard swearing as well but I might have been dreaming.
I knew what was going on. Chris was biting her legs. He does that sometimes when he is not getting the required amount of attention. I decided I needed to drag myself out of bed to distract Chris so Roseβ¦

Oh my yes, I can see how the Chris style of leg-biting would make it hard to get any work done!
Very hard. π
Yes, that could make things really challenging!
It is difficult sometimes.
My goodness how they let us know that they are in charge! Buddy Budd was my work pal when I switched to “Work at Home” and would insist on things his way. I made allowances and mostly he was good about it but he did join a few conferences with the team MOL
I have a German class on Zoom every Tuesday night and sometimes Chris starts his annoying behavior during my class.
Neither do work and PEEPS, you know. Mix, I mean. I can’t tell ya how many times I’ve been busily typin’ away at my computer, claws furiously clickin’, only for my work to be interrupted by a peep. Peepus interruptis… OH MY MOUSES! Got my next blog post title. MOUSES!
I guess non workers should not be around workers. π
My cat Buddy would playfully bite me at different times. He’d bite once, then take off. Sometimes I bled from his claws, wrapping around my leg. It was one of those instances that my ex took him away from me. He was only playing.
Pooh was funny when he wanted attention but wasn’t getting it. On more than one occasion, if I wasn’t prompt when he meowed for attention, I would hear this sound that always reminded me of the robot in Short Circuit. Pooh would make that frustrated growl type sound #5 would make. Then, he would huff off.
Ollie? He meows for attention. He will sit up on his hind legs (and look like Pikachu). If I am not forthcoming, then the whining starts. He is my toddler cat…drama queen. He has developed a type of PTSD over the flea infestation. There are certain parts of the house he is terrified of…and the fear changes from room to room depending upon the week. Now, when you pet him, particularly if you scratch his butt, he bites on his right, front leg. He is flea free but, the infestation freaked him out. He will occasionally bite me but, that is only when I tickle his belly too much and, even then, it’s a light bite. He is such a child…
Heh. Chris very demanding. π
Chris just recently started growling or biting me when I pet him in certain areas. I looked for fleas but did not see any. However, this happened before so we bought more flea medicine and applied it two or three days ago. Now he lets me pet him with no problem.
I guess they get allergic reactions from the flea bites and it is irritating for us to touch those areas. Bad infestations are hard to get rid of. I have him on monthly topicals and herbal drops in his food. Luckily, he didn’t get worms.
Yes, I would not want to have to deal with worms.
Wow! Chris really has earned his title of bad cat. π
Many times over. π
Snoops in particular does not like being ignored for the computer. She paces in front of it
That sounds like Frankie.
And she really dislikes Stephen Colbert for some reason. π
Imagine that. π
