We adopted Puck for my wife but he then tended to be more my cat. We then adopted Frankie for her and the same thing happened. Finally we adopted Floki for Rose and I was told not to be nice to him. Of course, I would never be mean to any cat but Floki has been Rose’s cat since he was a kitten. He comes to me for attention sometimes but he wants attention from Rose even more.
Since we moved to our new home, and I think even before that, Floki has been spending more time on my lap. This does not go over well with his mom, especially when she looks over and sees three cats on my lap.

maybe Rose needs to spend more time on the sofa, with her feet up?
No doubt about that.
ha! we have the same here… we brought phenny home and he totally disliked mark… so we got nelly… and he learnt from phenny… so I have two dogs and mark 0… but that#s enough we will not try it with #3 LOL
Poor Mark. Maybe he needs a cat. 🙂
Teddy comes to me for play, treats, and general “company” but goes to David when he wants to go outside. David is outside with him a lot more than I am so he’s learned his Dad is the “door” to the outside world. Cats gravitate to humans for different reasons – I think you are considered the best snuggler in the household!
Hugs, Pam
You might be right. I am also the outside guy, although, except for one escape, I have not let anyone out yet. It’s too darn cold now but I do need to take Frankie for a walk so he knows where home is.
Well “real” cold hasn’t come to W. Virginia or Virginia yet….we’re just “dabbling” with it now. You may have to get Frankie a coat! LOL
Pam
For a Floridian, real cold is under 60. It was 27 yesterday morning.
I know…..when I moved back to Virginia from Florida it was a bit of a shock to the system but I soon adjusted and realized how much I actually MISSED the “real” Winter!
I grew up in Northern Illinois and always hated the cold.
How do they like the new house?
I think they are happy. Frankie and Floki chase each other up and down the stairs.
doodz……when mom iz de one pazzin out giftz on Christmas day; ewe will think diffrunt 🙂 !!!
hope evereez gettin settled inta a roo teen… N ya total lee like yur new digz 🙂 ♥♥
Thanks. Things are finally settling down.
Ha, you are a kitty hog!
You might be right. Maybe I need help.
We usually manage to get equitable time with kitties but I will say that my hubs is a real cat magnet; it appears you are too!
It would seem so. Animals usually seem to like me.
Floki is definitely my cat and just goes to you because he like your lap better than mine!
You can beam over (Star Trek transporter) and visit with Caitie, the new calico girl. She likes everybody. 🙂
We need a female but we will be traveling back and forth so another cat would complicate that.
That must be it.
We split it our here, Simon and Dolly spend more time with me and Brian and Seal seem to enjoy more Mom time.
That ís really ideal.
I would be jealous too. 🙂
🙂
There are enough of us that we can spread ourselves between the two humans, but our mom says she would be annoyed if this happened at our house. Years ago our humans adopted an orange tabby they named, MacKenzie. He was supposed to be Dad’s cat. He followed Mom around as if he were a puppy. She always joked that it was as if he were “tied to apron strings.” We cats make our own decisions. Super cute photo. Frankie actually lied on Rose’s lap the other day so maybe things even out.
Louis Catorze climbs off my lap and onto Cat Daddy’s. He used to wait a respectable time when Cat Daddy came into the room, but now he does it in under 10 seconds. 😐
How rude. 🙂
