The Battle for Fort Box

I made a new Fort Box for the cats. This time I did not put a hole on the top because it just invites conflict. Instead, I put an entrance hole in the front and a smaller escape hatch on the side near the back. I also put several small peepholes around the perimeter so that the occupant could see if an enemy was approaching.

Naturally, Chris took over the fort which left Frankie on the outside planning his attack strategy.

After a successful defense of the fort, peace was restored in the kingdom . . . for now.

We love Frankie’s somewhat nonchalant, laid-back, “I am not trying to get your box” attitude until the very end. We also notice that Floki is keeping at a safe distance. Hope everybody gets their turn in Fort Box. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer

great job for making a very inexpensive fort, that will give cats hours of fun. Funny how Floki doesn’t seem the slightest bit interested . . . or is he waiting for when it becomes vacant?

Not clear if they’re fighting or playing…

Beautiful carpet, very colorful. And these cats have plenty of toys, and the best of toys. The mouse-shaped toy and the round track. They surely live it up.

So much fun! I love it! My cats would do the same thing if I made them a fort. It would probably be one of their favorite new games. 🙂
