Photo Friday: Cat Grass

I don’t know what people technically consider to be “cat grass” but for the purposes of this post I would say any grass a cat eats is cat grass. It is not easy photographing a cat eating grass because they move too much but I think I captured Frankie going for a bite pretty well here.

What do you think?

Teddy always has a few bites of the grass outside when we go. I’ve tried growing the grass that’s sold as “cat grass” so he could enjoy it inside but it ignores it and prefers the REAL THING. LOL

I’m chuckling and wondering what your neighbours make of you, taking your cats out on harness, and obviously on your hands & knees pretty quick to get this brilliant photo ^^
On the subject of grass – our cats (and dog) like to eat normal grass, and usually vomit it back up shortly afterwards, so I assume they do it because they feel the need to “purge” the system.

Kittens Frankie!!! What big teethies you have. MOL Great foto. We think the “standard” of cat grass is a mix of oat and wheat grasses. But we agree, any grass kitty eats is cat grass. MOL Big hugs

Thanks. Cat grass is probably just a marketing ploy. It’s like pumpkin for cats. It is exactly the same as pumpkin for people but three times more expensive.
