Frankie escaped again early yesterday morning and did what he always does to keep from getting caught. He headed toward a car,

He knows that if he is near a car, he can duck under it if I come too close.

If there are other cars nearby he can go from car to car with little risk of getting caught.

I decided to just wait him out at home so I let Chris out to wait with me.

I still have to watch Chris but I don’t worry about him because he mostly likes to hang out near the house and eat grass or just chill.
That wasn’t always the case. Chris, after all, invented the hide-under-the-car-technique. Some of you may remember his younger days.
After a short time Frankie returned.

Unfortunately, as soon as I took this photo and put my phone away to catch him, he bolted and hid under a car again.

I put Chris in the house and went inside to wait for him. After a little while. while I was cleaning the litter boxes, I looked out the window and saw him out from under the car and very interested in a nearby tree. Then he jumped into the tree.

I hurried outside hoping I could catch him before he went too hign in the tree.

I couldn’t reach him good enough and forced him higher into the tree.

I went to my shed and found a grabber tool which was the longest thing I could find quickly and returned to the tree. I was barely able to reach Frankie with it and managed to turn him around and forced him out of the tree but he ran several houses away and under another car so I gave up, went home and waited.
He finally came home after being outside for over an hour and then settled into a nice morning nap with Chris and Floki.

at least he knows a lot about nice cars… a boy ;O)
If you have to hide under a car, make it a good one. 🙂
HA! Boys will be boys I guess……climbing trees, hide and seek, etc. He’s definitely an adventurous little soul.

Frankie is a pretty old boy. 🙂
OMC…what a stinker you have. That car game must be instinctual. Mom and Dad have played it with any number of cats. We are happy Frankie came back on his own. Sawyer escaped Saturday morning, and we didn’t know it. His dad just happened to find him outside. The only thing he could have done is go to the upper deck from the catio and then jump into a nearby tree and go down. Another trip to Lowe’s, and we have screened off even more of the upper deck. Absolutely love the photo of the three kitties resting up for their next adventure. Thanks so much. A couple houses ago Frankie figured out that he can get on the roof from a tree that was close to the house. I think it’s very difficult to escape proof in area from a cat.
We are so glad we have a vestibule with a door. Dad could never chase us. Glad that Frankie is back home again
We built an outside screened room and our last house and it worked on very well but it’s too difficult to do it at this house.
Good thing Frankie decided to come back in because he’s pretty darn good at those evasive maneuvers! Chris was skilled at it too!
I think he just knows where the best place to take a nap is. 🙂
what a relief to see them all sleeping peacefully on the sofa!
Yes, it is. I always worry when Frankie disappears.
Frankie just has adventure in his soul.
He is very adventurous. Chris used to be like that until he got fat.
Ah, so you have seen Chris carries some extra weight around.
I tried to cut back his food but I can’t get him to lose weight.
I am the last to tell you how to make him … you have to talk with your vet about that.
No. The vet will want to sell me a special diet dry food that is expensive and not very healthy.
Then find an old fashioned vet who doesn’t.
I have looked and there are no hollistic vets near me.
chris….what did dad say when ya gave hm de razz berree !! 🙂
N frankie…dood…be glad dad tried ta get cha outta de tree……it coulda been infezted
with BURD ~~~~~~~~~~
🙂 ♥♥
I was worried he would climb too high and not be able to get down.
Frankie was probably exhausted after that adventure.
That’s probably why he took a long nap.
Looks like it was a very exciting day for all of you…
It’s always an adventure when Frankie gets out.
Glad it all ended with everyone safely home.
Thanks. I always feel so much better when he is safe at home.
Frankie dude, ya gotta remember, you’re an inside kitty for a reason!
He has an outside soul.
That was so naughty Frankie.
We have naughty cats. 🙂
Frankie takes now over from Bad Cat Chris. In short time it will be Bad Cat Frankie.
That is true. Chris is not as bad since he got older and gained weight.
How ornery! I can see why you would worry when Frankie makes a break, and am happy he eventually makes it back for a nap.
It’s like when your teenage son takes your car and doesn’t come home when he says he will.
Frankie, you are too smart for your own good!
Love and licks,
Cupcake
And for my good.
Kittens Frankie, you be one lucky kitty boy. Mommy would be so worried and sooooooooo mad. The one thing she really doesn’t tolerate is a kitty tryin’ to run away from her. MOL Glad all ended well. Big hugs
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
He is lucky to have a good home. He needs to remember that.
Thanks so much.
We’re glad Frankie came safe back home ! What an adventure for both of you ! Purrs
Thanks. He is a pain in the butt but we love him.
oh my! I was worried just reading this, I can imagine how you had to feel. Those boys keep you on your toes for sure!!!!! I would be nervous that one day someone would get in one of the cars and start it 😦 and the tree made me nervous as well (even if that did look like one great climbing tree!)
I was worried about the tree too.
