Today is Kiss a Ginger Day. It was started in 2009 as part of a Facebook group by Derek Forgie. He wanted to counter the “Kick a Ginger” day that takes place in November. It was meant for Ginger humans but why not cats too?
Here are pictures of Frankie and me from a couple of years ago. I thought I shared these already but it seems I did not. Technically, Frankie is more blonde than Ginger but let’s not split Ginger hairs. Besides, Chris is ginger so I’ll just give him a kiss today.

Aw! I wish I still had the late Louie the ginger kitty! He was a big (almost 24 pounds) hunk of joy.
One time, he was in an affectionate mood and he hopped up on my lap. His weight and angle of attack knock us on the floor when the computer chair tipped over!
We both survived unhurt, but I hugged him tighter than ever that day. He was a great kitty!
He was a big boy. We had three very sweet gingers.

Frankie is just gorgeous! I only have grey, russet, brown tabbies and a tuxedo, but it’s still the same thing. They are all lovely in their own ways, but they only appreciate kisses on their own time!!!
