Last weekend we traveled to a far away store where Rose bought a new shirt, among other things, that she really likes. After wearing it once she washed it and hung it from the bedroom door knob. When we went to bed that night and closed the door, the shirt was unwittingly left hanging from Chris’s side of the door. You can see where this is going, can’t you?
About thirty minutes after our five o’clock wake up call from Chris, who stands outside the door crying and scratching on the door, Rose discovered that her new shirt had several holes clawed into it. She confronted Chris, who was lying on the bed in the spare bedroom and said in a loud voice, “Who did this?” “Did you do this?”
That’s when Chris started rolling back and forth on the bed, showing her his belly and talking to her. It was as if he was saying, “Look at how cute I am. Forget about that shirt and check out my cuteness.”
It worked. Chris played it exactly right and got off scot-free.
Being cute saved you, Chris….this time. 😉
He was returned to the shelter once. He either learned the cuteness trick after that or we are just suckers for it.
Been there/done that/we’re so smart to play the CUTE card! Tee Hee
Hugs, Sammy
And people think dogs are smarter than cats.
well done my furiend, well done! I would have done the same. Love, Cody
I don’t think he needs any encouragement. 😉
Great job, Chris! You should give lessons.
That’s a thought. He could use a job to keep him busy.
Oh Dear…yes my handbags all look the same…….hmmmmmmm hugs Fozziemum x
Chris could not act cute enough to get out of trouble if he did that to one of Rose’s handbags.
Haahaha yes mine are under lock and key now!! I used to leave them hanging off a chair….begging for it I think….and they are girls!!! no respect 😉
I don’t know why but cats love purses.
Who knows…they are weird units 🙂

Wow. Just wow. Your wife is a bigger person than me! Hehehe. Chris better thank his lucky stars that he’s such a handsome devil!
It does work to his advantage. 🙂
Reblogged this on Bad Cat Chris and commented:
If you are in trouble, just play the cute card. Chris has mastered this technique. Me? Not so much.
Way to go, Chris! Even when you fessed up and said it was you, you were too cute to get into trouble. That’s A LOT of cuteness!
Love and licks,
Cupcake
He is just full of it. Cuteness I mean. 😉
It pays to be cute 🙂
I wish I had the gift. 😀
Oh yes indeed we play the cute card……..and if things are REALLY dicey and Mom or Dad is REALLY upset, we can always play the “sick” card…..you know…..the one with the one eye closed like we’ve got a boo boo or we lift a paw up like it hurts???? Yep – we DO have our ways!
Hugs, Teddy the Terror
Cute and sick. . . That is devious. 😀
