Here are some pictures from our cookout party on Saturday afternoon. As I mentioned in my last post, Stubborn Cat Chris, it was an all day struggle to keep an eye on Chris as he ran out the door every time someone opened it. I let him stay outside as long as I felt like watching him and then I would put him back in until the next time someone came through the door and it started all over again.

Before the party even started Chris would not stay off the table we set up on the patio.

Of course, once out, Chris has to lie in the dirt.

No, wait! That last spot wasn’t dirty enough.

Hello in there. Come on out. I just want to play.

Time to explore.

It looks like Chris failed to read rule #4.

Maybe he read the rule but didn’t care.

What would a cookout be without fish?

Chris finally decides to relax and watch the party. Do you see him under the chair?
There is a fairly good chance Rule # 4 is not important…to Chris 🙂 and the aggie pipe is always entrancing for kitties..we have some still to be put in the ground and I am sure the girls think their tunnel has shrunk!! I am glad Chris went fishing…he seems very pleased with his catch ‘o the day 😉 have a great day Fozziemum x
Thanks Fozziemum. Chris had a lot of fun that day. Now he is crying to go outside even more than before.
Chuck…now you KNOW Rule #4 sucks! and yes, I do NOT care…hahaha! (it should be painted over…hint-hint) Is your unit that close to the pool – if so, wonderful! That drainage tube…Mr. Whitey explored one at Atlanta apt. after I sold house…except it was triple that size…must have been 10 or 20 yards long…so I’m out looking for him and heard him meow-ing – Miss Sweetie actually found him – she would not come back to me but kept looking over this edge down at something… when I got to the edge, it was Mr. W. “trapped” under a steel grate at the other end of the tubing… some young guys got it off for me and freed him! I gave them movie tickets as a thank you!
Has Chris ever shown interest in boarding any of the boats? Cats generally don’t like them b/c of the unsteadiness… thanks for the fun!
It is good that tube is too small or I am sure Chris would have been in it. The pool was as far as he has ventured out so he has not been close enough to a boat. I usually bring him in before he gets too adventurous. We would like to live on a boat someday, perhaps when Chris is older and less trouble… if that is even possible.
Looks as if Chris had as much fun as any human who attended the party. Did he and Puck get any fish to eat? Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
Puck hid under the bed all day. Chris played with the fish but didn’t want to eat it. He has become finicky since he was a kitten.
