Here is Chris and Frankie on this day in 2023. It must have been cold that day because they were sharing the heated pad.

Here is a post from July 2016. Chris wore me down. I never could get rid of the dry food. Even now, we keep dry food out. If I let the bowls go empty, my wife will fill them. While she is filling them, she will say something like this to the cats, “Don’t worry. Your daddy wants to let you starve, but I won’t let that happen.” This, of course, happens when there is still wet food in their bowls.
Yesterday was the anniversary of my dad’s passing in 1999. He was the kind of man that could do anything he set his mind to. I still miss him. Here he is in 1968.

Yesterday was also the anniversary of Puck’s passing in 2018. Puck was a good boy who suffered from urinary problems. He died way too young. Here he is at my sister-in-law’s house just before we adopted him.

Coincidentally, I was cleaning out my full email inbox yesterday and came across a document I scanned and emailed myself a while ago. It was a vaccination certificate that showed Puck’s birthday as September 1, 2012. I don’t believe I ever knew his exact birthday. That’s assuming the date listed was not an estimate.
Frankie and Floki love our new screened room, especially in the afternoon when they get plenty of sunshine.

Here’s a post from July 2016. I probably didn’t title it right since there is no music. Young Floki keeps stealing Puck’s food, while Chris and Frankie won’t eat.
Here is Frankie getting a little too comfortable on our coffee table.

I thought I was done with all the posts about vets and sick cats, but here is one more from 2016.
Work started the Saturday before last on our new screened room. Frankie was very interested.

Unfortunately, they started late that day and could not finish before leaving on Sunday so we had to wait until yesterday afternoon before we could let the cats out there.
Frankie went out right away, but Floki was more cautious.

His fear didn’t last long.

They both spent the next fifteen minutes exploring.

The best part was when they settled in together.

Here is a photo of Puck from the 31st of January 2013.

This is the final chapter of our 2016 mini-series. Join us again next week for more exciting episodes of Throwback Thursday.
