I am catsitting our neighbor’s cat again. As many of you know, her name is also Frankie.

She has had a cat door for several months now, but she only goes out it, she will not go in through it for some unknown reason unless someone holds it open for her. The last time I took care of her she was always at the door waiting to come in when I arrived between six and seven in the morning. This time she has been nowhere to be found the last couple of mornings, including this morning.
The photo above was taken while Rose and I were out walking our Frankie well after eight. She was hanging out at a neighbor’s house. I think it was around eleven when she was ready to come in.

we had this with our huskies… they used it to go out but howled like a pack of wolves when they wanted to come in… our pets are sometimes hard to understand ;O)))
Very hard. 😊
She’s lucky you’re there to open the door for her.
Yes. I figured she would be used to going in on her own by now but apparently not.
She’s so pretty. Hopefully she will be waiting for you to let her in next time.
As soon as her mama came home and called her she came inside.
maybe she thinks it’s daylight savings time…in advance 🤍🖤🖤🤍‼️😸🐾
Maybe she’s on Catmandu time. 😁
Scary leaving a kitty outside like that.
I am not a fan of that but she spends half her time inside so that’s a plus.
Maybe she doesn’t like the way the cat door bangs/slams on her back/rump when she goes through it in the opposite direction? Who can understand the mind of a kitty??
I would think it would be the same both ways. Who knows?
Something had to have scared her on the way in once, and now she needs help.
I hope the assignment is going very well.
I’ve heard of cats knowing how to use a cat door but refusing if the parent was around.
There are in doors and out doors – not to be mistaken with indoors and outdoors. We cats KNOW, you know? purrs
What if it’s the same door?
