Here are photos of my mother-in-law’s cat from January 2017. Pumpkin passed away two or three years ago, and my wife’s mother passed in February. Rose’s sister adopted her two cats so, at least they still have a good home.

Pumpkin is the name of my youngest cat. Not a ginger but as close as we could figure, she has an October birthday. 🎃 Your Pumpkin was a cutie.
Those were sweet pictures, now wonderful keepsake memories. Nice that the ‘now’ cats still have a great home with good pawrents.

Having work with cat rescue for years, I’m always thankful when family takes the pets upon someone’s death.
I agree. When we had the home in West Virginia, Our neighbor behind us was feeding about eight stray cats. We learned the cats belonged to an elderly woman down the street who passed away. When that happened, the sone just threw the cats outside like trash. Fortunately that neighbor took on some of the responsibility. Another neighbor opened his shed in the winter for the cats to go into. We helped by buying food for our neighbor.
