Since Chris died, we don’t see the cat piles like we used to, but sometimes we take what we can get. If Chris were here, he would be in the gap, touching both of them.

Looks like they saved him a space. Maybe to them he is still there.
Chris’s ashes are right outside the screen, and his marker is on the ground behind Frankie’s back.
Could not be better said than Mary’s words above …
That is a comforting thought.
“Companionable”……..just a little distance but together…….
Hugs, Pam
Better than separate rooms.
It does appear that they have left a spot for him
That’s a positive thought.
I thought the same as the first commenter: they saved a space for Chris. ❤️
I hope that is the reason.
Close enough….
Still, a totally sweet photo, but we know you wish Chris was there and in his usual place. The kittens like a blue pillow that we have put in their enclosure, and all eight pile up on it together! I bet that is a pleasure to see.
At least they are pretty close. 🙂
I’ll take it. 😊
It’s their new normal.
It’s not ideal but at least they only fight occasionally.
Togetherness in the way they choose.
Like meat and potatoes. Separate but on the same plate.
