This was almost eight years ago. Not much has changed since then.

I sympathise completely with you. Chasing Catorze once he’s escaped out at The Front is utterly pointless. The only way of getting him back in is waiting until he decides to come back.
Same with Frankie.
Cats just enjoy the thrill of escape…..and FREEDOM! They decide to come back when they remember food, soft bed, treats, toys…….yeah it reminds them just how GOOD they have it INSIDE!
Hugs, Pam
They tend to forget that when their bellies are full.
Do you have a grand total of the number of times Houdini has done his thing?
I can’t count that high.
This is when Frankie got naughtier than Chris.
Yeah, Chris got Fat and Frankie passed him.
Cats are like kids. It seems that when they learn from each other, it’s usually the less desirable activities. 🙂
They are very much like kids.
We’ve had to put cats in one room and shut the door if we’re leaving the house to keep them from getting to the door. Of course, they have a box and water in there, and food if we’ll be gone a bit of a while, a place to sleep. It’s not fun, but it does make sure they aren’t able to get to the door.
Our last house had a screened in patio that acted like a buffer zone.
