Chris has been spending a lot of time on his cat perch. It is good that he is still able to get up there but it is also concerning because I almost never see him holding vigil at his food bowl waiting for someone to put fresh food on top of not-so-fresh-food.

The fact that he is losing his appetite worries me.

we send lots of potp and positive thoughts… hugs and kisses to our mentor chris..
Thanks so much.
Hopefully he’s OK…..when they don’t do their usual things it bears a closer eye on them. Sending POTP.
Hugs, Pam (and Teddy)
Thanks.
Purring that Chris gets his appetite back.
That would be good. Thanks.
Poor Chris, I’m worried about him too…all we can do is keep him happy and content as best we can.
Hopefully we can do more.
Yes, that is always something to be concerned about. Purrs to you Chris.
Thanks
Hope your appetite is coming back soon, Chris🙏Healing Pawkisses for a Healthy Weekend🐾😽💞
Thank you.
Sending lots of purrs for Chris. Hope he starts eating better soon!
Thank you.
That is something to be concerned about. I hope he is OK.
Thank you. Me too.
My senior (19 yrs old) cat’s appetite is certainly her barometer showing how good she feels. Sometimes her teeth are a problem; sometimes its something entirely different. I hope you are able to figure it out and help Chris through it. Our senior Dog (16) stopped eating, could barely walk, and scared us a lot. We were afraid it was the end of the line. But I looked deep in her eyes and decided she was sick, but not about to die. The vet prescribed what she needed and she’s doing great! I hope Chris can turn around, too!
Thanks. He has been a little better the last couple of days.
Aww, could it be because they eat a bit less in the summer? Louis Catorze’s body clock is completely up the spout, with him back to doing Ramadan i.e. only eating after dark.
I don’t think so. Chris has always been a big eater after he got a little older.
Aww. Will you be taking him to the vet?
He was at the vet recently. He has kidney issues.
Aww, poor boy! That’s quite a common thing for cats of his age.
Our cat Abbey died from it at eight years old.
That is very young!
We had a rough time losing three cats at eight and two at six or younger.

I do warm up slightly the raw food I give them. The cans are room temperature.
Could it be the heat?
I don’t know. He is a little better now.
Have you and your vet discussed an appetite stimulant? It’s a possibility to explore is all.
She suggested a certain food which I bought.
