Eleven years ago today we brought Chris home from the shelter. He took over our home from the day we opened his carrier. Here is what that looked like.
He has slowed down since then but he may actually be more annoying now then ever. His annoying behavior though is endearing, just like his naughty behavior was when we adopted him.
Pretty brave for a newly adopted kitty. On my first day at home, I jumped on the couch and sat there hanging on for dear life – afraid to move.
Love and licks,
Cupcake
We had four other cats at the time too and none of them gave Chris any trouble. I think Chris came in with an “I am the boss” attitude and everybody else just accepted that.
Chris was very adventurous for day 1. Love the position of his tail throughout ^^
He is so curious to see his new home, and cuuuute!
Thanks. He was really adventurous back then.
a king from the first moment :O) happy happy gotcha day dear chris!
So cute! **surveys new place. Yeah, this’ll do.**
He was surveying his kingdom.
Happy Gotcha Day, Chris. You’re a real goood cat. 🙂
Thanks.
He looks like he made himself home the instant he arrived – so much to see and do – and I know he has loved every minute of his forever home(s) !! HAPPY GOTCHA CHRIS!
Hugs, Pam and Teddy
Thanks. Chris is the first and only cat I have ever seen that was not at least a little intimidated by his or her new home.
Yes, I wondered that, too – others need a safe room and settle in slowly, he was neither intimidated by there being another cat in the room nor was he ever so slightly insecure in this new territory that reeked of other cats!
Chris has always been unusual.
Happy Gotcha Day Chris! He was certainly bold and lively from the start!
He sure was.
He looks like a kid who has been given full run of the candy store!
He probably felt that way after coming home from the shelter.

And he is waving that tail flag the whole time! What a secure and confident little fellow. Love it. We did not have you in our calendar so purrs on your wonderful 11th Gotcha Day Chris!
Thank you.
Most remarkable. May he stay with you for another 11 years – at least …
That would be wonderful.
Boy, Chris sure knew he was home. Happy Gotcha Day!!!
At the shelter, he made every effort to convince us to take him home.
Chris was so brave since the first minute ! Happy Gotcha Day, Chris ! Purrs
I think he just didn’t understand that other cats might be a problem.
Happy Gotcha Day Chris – and many more – safe in your next new home !
Thanks so much.
Happy Gotcha Day sweet Chris!
Thanks. 🙂
Happy Gotcha Day to Chris!
Thanks so much.
Aww, Chris! He clearly felt comfortable at your place!
I think we could have dropped him in a den of lions and he would have taken over.
Happy gotcha day to Chris!
Thanks, Summer.
He probably just wants to keep you entertained. 🐸
Probably.
