Frankie ran out the door last week when I opened it for the UPS guy. At first he stayed close and dared me to catch him. He even stuck his tongue out at me as if he thought he couldn’t be caught. He was right.

I put my phone away and casually walked towared Frankie but he darted off and dissapeared. I decided to wait for him outside so I let Chris out and the two of us waited together.

Since it was hot outside we only lasted about fifteen minutes. I then brought Chris in and walked around looking for Frankie with no luck. I gave up after thirty minutes had gone by. Ten minutes after that Frankie was outside the door panting and wanting to come in.
oh good that he came in… I always have to turn into houdini when I open the door, amazing that I can squeeze my ice cream cemetry through a 3 inches gap… LOL
When Chris was young he escaped through an impossibly small space. https://badcatchris.com/2012/06/19/the-great-escape/
Frankie’s escape didn’t last long – getting thirsty and hot is a great motivator to head home!

Yes it is. That’s why I waited outside because I thought he would return quickly.
Phew! Naughty fellow 😉
Yes he is.
Frankie is a naughty boy.
He is like Chris used to be.
Crazy Frankie, wanting to stay outside in that heat!
I need to rename the blog Bad Cat Frankie.
Bad kitty! I had an escape a bit ago when Dougy slipped out when I was checking the scene to determine how deep the new snow was. I didn’t realize he was outdoors for several hours, and he was more than ready to come in after seven (I think) hours in the snow! That little adventure cost a $250 reward for a cat that, ironically, was across the lane, about 150 feet away from my front door. (I drove right past that spot earlier.) He acted very happy to be an indoor cat again. Glad you had a happy ending, too!
That was an expensive escape. I glad you got him back.
I sure am glad he came back!
Frankie couldn’t take the heat!
No, but I don’t blame him. I can’t either. 🙂
I think Frankie wanted to see if the grass was greener on the other side..MOL…there was a time that I wanted that too, but now I’m used to stay in the garden😸Pawkisses for a Happy Caturday🐾😽💞

It’s tough when you live by a busy road. When we first got Frankie we live close to a busy road and when he would escape he was very hard to catch but I tried to position myself between him and the busy road so he would go in the other direction.
