We have literally dozens of toy mice in our house but Floki only likes one of them. Actually, “like” is too weak of a word. He loves this one mouse. I often see him chasing it around the house and sometimes the play will last for a half-hour or even longer.
The problem is, the mouse gets lost quite often. My wife is always telling me to “find Floki’s mouse.” The fist place I look is under the coffee table, which has an opening big enough for a mouse but not big enough for the Siamese cat that’s chasing it. I also check under the beds, under the sofa, and in the closets. Sometimes it’s hiding in the closet.
While I am looking, Floki follows me around, waiting for me to find it. Sometimes I think he knows where his mouse is but he enjoys watching me look for it. I think that because there have been a few times when I couldn’t find it and gave up. I would then see Floki playing with it an hour later.
I want to buy a few more of the same mice but a web search revealed no results. I was hoping someone out there could help me identify who makes it so I can by more. Here is what it looks like.
It has a furry cover around what seems to be a plastic interior. It is not soft like some stuffed mice although the plastic is probably hollow so it has some give to it.

The description sounds right and it kind of looks like the one on the right. Thanks. I might just order these if I can’t find the exact one.
It was the closest one I could see from a quick look on amazon, but there are loads of difference versions on there! I searched ‘furry mouse cat toy’ to find them and there were a lot that looked very close to it.
I was just made aware of a rattle sound in the mouse that I didn’t know about. That makes your mice even more likely to be correct.
Ooh that’s good. I was wondering if it was a rattly one or not, or whether it had mabye just lost it’s rattle!
I searched for those mice on the Amazon U.S. website but they don’t have them. At least now I know what to look for though. Thanks again.
Aww that’s a shame. Sometimes you can just change the .co.uk to .com (or vice-versa) and find the right thing, did you try that?
I copied the name and pasted it into the US search box. Only one product from that company, a wand.
I went through this kind of thing (mouse replacement) after Teddy destroyed Sammy’s old mouse. I couldn’t find an exact replacement but did find him another furry white mouse in a “four pack” but he really did NOT like it. He ignored it totally. Same with the others in the packl. I just found it googling “white fur toy mice for cats”. The other thing is they all have a “rattle” inside them and Floki might not like that either!! I got them from a company called Jet.com. Good luck!!!

Cats are extremely picky. This one does have a light rattle when you shake it. I did not mention it because I didn’t realize it until now.
I didn’t look but I just bet you can find one of those on Amazon! But if not, I saw on Jet.com that you can get a TWELVE PACK (!!!!) for $15.00. HAHAHAHAHA

carrylovescats gave me a link to something that I think is close but it is Amazon UK and it is not on the US website. Jet gave me 21 pages of cat toys and I made it to page ten with no luck, I will keep looking though.
That sure looks like a fun mouse but I haven’t seen one like it…but will be on the lookout!

by Ethical Pet. (Amazon – $3.99) Could this mouse once have hung from the door frame? These mice have a plastic body and look very much like Floki’s. (It’s one of our very favorite toys.) Of course, Floki knows where it is at all times. He just wants to watch you searching. Most of our lost toys end up under the fridge. We had hoped Floki had caught a real mouse, but we still enjoyed watching him play with this one. That looks like it with more fur. I guess it could be bot don’t remember having a toy like that. Maybe it was from another toy from the same company.

Floki really does love that mouse! I hope you can find more for him. Although my human has found, even getting identical toys, we kitties always seem to favor the original, no matter how ratty and beat up it gets.
I thought of that and I am a bit concerned but that toy won’t last forever.

Not sure if they’re the same but I’ve seen mice like this sold in packages of 3 or 6 at the pet store relatively inexpensive. Zoey likes this type of mouse and has been know to drop it in her water dish. That fur on it disintegrates pretty quickly.
That’s funny because Floki drops it in the water dish too. I forgot to mention that.

Midnight had a mouse that looked like it. It went missing, then found during a kitchen reflooring project under the range. It went missing again 2-3 days later. Then, Pinky lost a catnip fish a few months ago, the one she recovered after the fish had been missing for a few years.
I remember during a move and we found countless mice and water bottle caps under the fridge, the stove and various other things. Chris loved bottle caps when he was young.
