Christmas Nap

We had a nice Christmas and I appreciate all the well wishes. My son and best friend came over and we had more food for lunch than anyone should be allowed to eat. Afterward, we all felt like taking a nap.

Meanwhile, our cats beat us to it.

How was your Christmas? Was there any napping going on?

No napping other than Teddy doing some of that yesterday – I think some of his new toys wore him out more than usual. I was too busy cooking and entertaining company but I sure was glad to hit the sheets last night – it’s an exhausting holiday. LOL

My wife bought three different toys from the home shopping Network outlet near us and every one of them was defective. Unfortunately we didn’t save the receipt and it wasn’t worth going back there and arguing about it.

There was lots of napping going on Christmas Day! Mainly because my human was in recovery mode from her procedure. She didn’t even get a proper Christmas meal – she wasn’t really hungry.

It’s a habit I formed in my university years. My classes were all in the morning or at night. The afternoons were free to watch films at the foreign film socity, tour museums on campus, tour the state capitol (Nebraska has a beautiful one…), study or take naps. To this day, decades later, my body says it wants a siesta in the afternoon!
