My wife ordered new Kitty Kick Styx for our boys for Christmas to replace their old ones. They arrived when we were away in St. Augustine for a long weekend. The neighbor, who was watching our cats, brought the mail inside. She noticed Chris tearing up the package so she put it in the hall closet. She then noticed that Frankie was attacking the rest of the mail, which probably had a catnip smell, so she put that in a kitchen drawer.
When we returned, the neighbor came by to tell us where our mail was. When we retrieved the package from the closet, Chris immediately started trying to get into it. We then felt like saving it for Christmas would not work so they all got an early present.
Frankie went absolutely crazy with his Kitty Kick Styx.
Chris was a little more subdued but not much.
Floki was cautious but he eventually warmed up to it.
Has anyone tried these? What did your cat(s) think?
true!!! I tried to hide pigs ears and ended the same way… they are in their bellies and not in their stockings ;O)
Dogs, cats, and my wife have noses that can’t be fooled.
Teddy is immune to catnip (!) but silvervine he DOES react to a bit. Someone told me the Kick Styx might come with either of those – I need to look into that. He’s really not a toy boy (HAHAHAHAHA) though. I did get him some fun things for his stocking – a bird on a string that you hook over your door molding which I know he’ll love and a new harness which he will ignore but which will look nice (purple this time). That’s so funny about Chris using his RADAR to find the good stuff!!

I won’t have to look into that. I would be interested to see how our cats react to silvervine.
You even tried? 😀
🙂
we have reviewed (and we gave away) Kitty Kick Stix a number of times….they remain our favorite!! Cody also ripped through the packaging, their catnip is THAT good (as you know) and they are soooo “kickable” just love them and love your video!
I think the entertainment value is worth the price. 🙂
They are so funny to watch with these kick sticks…they are love them!
It sure is a fun toy for them.
Oh and by the way, it’s very naughty that Frankie thinks its ok to be on the dining room table!
Even when his mama is right there. 🙂
Oh yea, those things are really fun!
Our cats sure like them.
Looks like those catnip kick sticks went over pretty well. Time for some more Christmas shopping….
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Yes. We need to find a non catnip toy.
We love our Kick Stix!
Everybody here loves them too, especially Frankie.
Nothing gets past them 🙂 My cats love those too.
A cat’s sense of smell is amazing.
We love these! We don’t go quite as crazy, though!
Frankie is about the craziest. 🙂
MOL..that looks like an amazing stick. We haven’t seen it before. I’m not into the toys, but I like to sit in my furreshly harvested catnip for hours…MOL 😀 Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend 🐾😽💞
You are lucky to have fresh catnip.
I just had a similar experience. The catnip toys I ordered arrived and Kommando got to the package before I did. I immediately hid it, but it took a few hours for her to stop looking. I guess I didn’t realize how strong the smell is.
It’s amazing considering I can’t smell them when they are out of the packaging.
