My wife is away on business so I decided to leave the bedroom door open Tuesday night and let the cats sleep with me. I do that sometimes when she is away and I always regret it. Chris usually bothers me for a little while and then settles in until around three or four in the morning and then he starts back up with his annoying behavior. Wednesday morning it was three o’clock.
I resisted him for a while. I kept pushing him away or I would pick him up and move him to where another cat was sleeping. (I couldn’t tell who in the dark). My hope was that he would forget about me and bother that other cat. It didn’t work and eventually, he forced me out of bed way too early.
Last night I was tired and closed everyone out so I could get some sleep. That lasted until around four this morning when I heard Chris crying and scratching at the door. This went on until 5:30 when I was again forced out of bed early.
I fed them and went back to bed, not to sleep but just to rest for a few minutes. Chris showed up soon after and immediately started bothering me by biting my nose and scratching me. His breathing was accelerated and he was purring loudly or at least making loud breathing noises. After several minutes of this, I decided to get it on film so at least others could enjoy it.
Don’t get me wrong, I love that Chris is as loving and affectionate as he is. I just wish he could do it less painfully.

he is the feline twin of Phenny… he sleeps on my head (he has 70 lbs now) and to bite in my nose and to give me bitchslaps with his paws is the wake up ritual….
Chris sometimes lies across my neck. He he was 70 pounds he would choke me.

Pretty obvious that Chris has no idea what either “no” or “stop” mean. Secretly, he knows you love this attention and affection which he bestows upon you. Good purr too. You go Chris. Thank you. You are right about my NOs. I guess that’s why he doesn’t bother my wife like he bothers me, although he does walk across her head.
Binga is a nose-biter too! My human buries her head under the covers to avoid her when she is being too insistent.
I try that but he reaches in with his claws to pull me out.
“No” and “Stop” are not in Chris’ vocabulary obviously, but we bet “treats” are well known, MOL ! Purrs

That is so hilarious….you’ve always talked about how he loves to bite your nose – now you have it on film…..the boy is nose-obsessed and I imagine all that pawing/chewing/nibbling CAN “get to you” when you’re trying to rest. No wonder you keep them OUTSIDE the bedroom door when possible! LOL

That he is, though! Just look at where you have followers. I have no doubt you have people on every continent but Antarctica following you and your kitties. If you are really lucky, you might even have someone on Antarctica! [Once you acknowledge Chris is an international kitty celebrity, you have to give up some of your human rights to assure Chris his rights as a very special kitty! LOL!]
