One-Way Frankie

Of our four cats, only Chris and Frankie, our two gold cats, go outside. They don’t go out very often, usually only for brief periods during the weekend.  Of the two, only Frankie needs to wear a harness and that is because he won’t stay close to home where I can watch him.

Since we moved here a year and a half ago, I have been taking Frankie for a walk, partly to see if he will find his way home. The problem is, and always has been, he usually travels in one direction until we get far away and I have to pick him up and carry him home. The video below is an example of what I go through.

I will say that a week or so after I sot this video, Frankie did manage to circle around and end up back at our house. That was a big milestone.

We are so impressed by how well Frankie has trained YOU. We just saw him on Instagram trying to make a break for it over the fence. MOL. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

Frankie only goes where he wants! MOL If my human gently pulls on my lead, I usually go in the direction she wants me to, without complaints. I can see this is wholly ineffective with Frankie!

I think Frankie needs his own “Bad Cat” book.

Ours are all outdoor cats, most of them do not go far from home, but the two young boys have gone further. We had a Thundershirt for Dash once, he hated it, I am not sure he would have liked a harness but they look so useful to me!
