Chris is the most affectionate cat I have ever had. He is also more affectionate than any dog I have ever had. He spends a good part of his day on my lap, on Rose’s lap or curled up with Frankie or Puck.
I’m not complaining, I love that about him, but part of that affection is an unusual need to bite, especially my nose. Fortunately, the biting is only a small part of his affection but it is quite annoying and the reason all the cats get locked out of the bedroom at night.
Now I’d like to hear about your most affection pet.

I did that once to my dad and I found out that his nose is very sensitive… now I do it efurry morning… and my addy has tears in his eyes when I wake him up that way…. probably tears of joy hehehehe

Ouch – that’s too funny! One of our cats loves to lick my husband’s beard. He doesn’t let her, but she tries all the time. She must think she’s grooming him.
Yes, that is exactly what she is doing.
Binga is our resident nose biter! She loves to do that to my human in the morning to get her out of bed. Usually my human hides under the covers to avoid her.
Hiding under the covers doesn’t work with Chris. I’ve tried that and it just makes him more determined to get past my defenses..
We call those love bites. 😉
That is what they are but I prefer a love nudge.
OMC that is too funny!!! Cody gets a little wound up when you “hold hands”…..he just had his claws trimmed, (thankfully), but prior to that, he would show his love by digging his claws into your hand, not intentionally…he just got carried away lol catchatwithcarenandcody
They don’t realize that we don’t have a coat of fur to buffer the claws.

I think you need to wear a nose guard! That would look pretty hot to your wife right!? Hee hee!
But what I think you really need to do is bite Chris’s nose. Not hard of course, but enough to send a message. Let me know how either or both of those ideas go.
I have tried biting Chris knows. I don’t think he gets it.

I’d have to say Katie is my most affectionate. Because she is always ALWAYS getting kisses, she also occasionally dispenses with some. Not only that but I am scent marked even when I go into the next room (she comes with me if she’s awake). She comes over to be in the chair with me…but her demeanor is very very loving.
I call Chris needy. 😀
