Recently, my wife got something from Amazon and put the box down for the cats. Floki immediately went inside of it.

Over the next few days, we saw him in the box quite often, but we never keep boxes on the floor for very long. They are essentially a temporary treat. Usually, by the time we clean the house the box is gone. Plus, they can be a trip hazard. With that in mind, I didn’t think twice about taking it to put stuff into that I was taking to the thrift store as a donation.
Rose, after scolding me for taking Floki’s box, put another box down for him. Luckily, Amazon comes to our house every day. This time I put a pad in it for him to lie on.

Rose thinks the box is too small for him, but I think he likes the snugness. In any case, I think we need to keep this trip hazard for a while longer.

We agree that Floki probably likes box #2 best. You were very kind to put a pad in for him. Boxes remain in the house for a few days and then go to the catio for a few days before going in the recycling bin. Like you, we have Amazon delivering something almost everyday. I think maybe I should build him a box with wood. I don’t know.
Sometimes (ALL the time) it’s not about what you want. It’s about what the kitty (or doggie) wants.

So true.
“Trip Hazards” (aka boxes) are such wonderful nests for cats……most cats I’ve had LOVE boxes and the snugness of them doesn’t matter. They also give GREAT “photo ops” !!!

They sure do. I think the fact that it is a little bit small is fine.
Glad he got a new box. I don’t mind letting my cats keep a box or 2.
We have a very small house with not much room.
Is there a more out of the way place for it? Mine usually want a box to just stay.
It’s not ideal where it is but it’s also not in a walkway.
its taylor made for Floki… do you think thats a strategy by amazon to keep customers? ;O)))
I know it is. 😁
You can save money on buying cat beds and just use an Amazon box.
I agree.
I think you’re right about the size of this one…he’s as snug as a bug in a rug!
He really likes it.
