We returned late yesterday afternoon from our trip to Nova Scotia. While we had a wonderful time, we both were eager to get home to our cats.
Our cats were happy too, especially Frankie who wanted nothing but attention most of the evening.

Our next-door neighbor, Mom of the other Frankie, was nice enough to take care of our boys while we were away. We thought they might have gotten used to a later breakfast and wouldn’t bother us early in the morning, but we were wrong. Frankie woke me up at around 3:15 but I did not give in to him and went back to sleep. By 5:30 he couldn’t hold back any longer and insisted I get up and feed him. Oh well. It’s still good to be home.

I’m sure you enjoyed your trip but I’m also sure the cats were happy to see you even though the neighbor was taking care of them. Frankie wanted his “Dad” to serve up his breakfast – back to the regular routine.
Hugs, Pam
I missed the cats and while the neighbor did a great job taking care of them, she couldn’t be with them most of the day.
And the cats breathed a sigh of relief–Mom and Dad are home!!
I think that is exactly right.
Nova Scotia is one of Mom’s favorite places!! Welcome home.
Thank you. We stayed in Mahone Bay which turned out to be a great choice.
Your sweeties really missed you!
Yes, they did. They are both lying next to me as I write this comment.
Someone else’s time isn’t the real time, it’s back to business. Welcome home!
Thank you. It’s good to be home.
welcome home… have a wonderful start into summer..
Thanks so much.
I lived in Halifax, Nova Scotia for about 18 months for my first ‘official’ job as a nurse…half a century ago already! Wow, I must be getting ancient! I loved living there, never went anywhere without my camera! Being so far away from my family near Toronto made that job short lived as I got quite homesick; even though I had gotten ‘adopted’ by some of the families from my church.
I like the area although we stayed in Mahone Bay which is more suited to our taste. We like small towns that are not too small. By the way, my great grandparents were from Halifax. He was born in Lunenburg and she was born in Terence Bay but they lived in Halifax before coming to the States. My cousin thinks they left after the great explosion but I think they left before it.
When I was there, I had a music teacher who was a small girl when that explosion happened. She said there was shrapnel in her house.
That must have been a terrible time.
Glad you had a good time on your trip. It does look like Frankie missed you…or maybe his regular meal times. 🙂
Thanks. I think he missed us. He’s been doing a lot of purring lately.
Frankie knows what time he likes to eat. He didn’t have time to train the new human. 😺
He’s back to his old routine.
Glad you had a nice time.
Thank you.
