Mom has learned to take the photo asap and then work on focus if there is an opportunity to take another.
I learned my lesson years ago. I was at a state park and saw an osprey sitting in a tree branch with the moon behind it. I should have snapped a shot and then set up my tripod, but I didn’t and the bird flew away before I was ready.
Cats are so darn quick – often by the time I’m ready to take a second picture RIGHT AFTER THE FIRST Ted has moved. Oh well. They just KNOW by instinct how to ruin a photo op!!
Hugs, Pam
At least you got the first photo.
That was some skilled leap. One of your cats from long ago would spend time on the door tops.
They are daredevils.
I’ve noticed with animals and children, you snooze, you lose, snap it now just to get it, and if you get a better shot later, so be it.
Cats always seem to focus on whether it looks like a good spot for surveying the realm rather than it being a good place to land.
😊
