These photos were taken on this day in 2010 when we lived in South Carolina. From the top it is Abbey, Alex, and Tigger.

Notice the pool noodles under the railing. I put those there because Chris squeezed under the railing like a cockroach and Jumped to the ground from the third floor. It’s hard to see but I attached a screen across the railing using double sided tape. Above the railing I hung more screening that I could roll up and keep out of view when the cats were not outside.
Chris was outside that day too, but I didn’t capture him in the above photo. I do, however, have several photos of him fighting with Tigger. This was the only one not too blurry to show.

So nice they had outdoor time … we’re 16 floors up, no balcony … but I barely “trust” the screened window when kitty pushes against it … they go where they want, when they want!
I don’t think I would want to live above the third floor.
The pool noodles and screening did the trick. Chris and Tigger were food “rasslin’ ” partners !
Hugs, Pam
Chris loved to play with Tigger.
Chris was clever, but you were more clever. Pardon the pun, but that was truly ‘using your noodle.’
Hahaha. 😂
Cute flashback. 🙂
Thank you.
That sure looks like it was a good place for a snooze!
The cats loved it. It was outside but safe.
The pool noodles are a great idea! Snoops has figured out how to get under the screen on our catio. Maybe I’ll try that.
Good luck.
Thank you
We do what we have to, to keep our furbabies safe.
When Celestial Chuck and Angel were kittens, we had to block off the stairway railings, because they were small enough to sneak under, then drop down the flight of stairs.
They were also small enough to wriggle under some closed doors, as someone had cut a few inches off the bottom in order to swing across shag carpet.
Yep, shag carpet!
😉
We had shag carpet when I was a kid.
dood…yeow…a jump izza jump…but frum de thurd floor….thatz like one gie unt leep for cat kind 🙀‼️🌕🌜
Leave it to Chris. 🙂
Noticed those pink pool noodles right away. It is always nice to meet the cats who came before those we know. Our upper deck above the catio is screened in much the same way, but we also have screens in the pool noodle section, Only way to keep Sawyer from escaping and going to the roof. XOCK, angels Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta & Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer, Kizmet, Audrey & Raleigh
Cats are very smart so we have to be smarter, which isn’t always easy.
What a great place they had for hanging out!
Yes. They loved it.
