As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, Frankie and I came across a snake on our walk the other day. Frankie didn’t notice it until it was slithering away. The next day, we saw another snake. This time Frankie noticed it about the same time I did. Unlike the last snake we saw, this one stood its ground. It just stared at us while we stared back at it.

It seemed like Frankie was preparing to attack so I picked him up and put him back down about twenty feet away. That was the end of that.
EEEEK. Even a common black snake gives my Mom the “willies” !!!
Hugs, Teddy
I can understand that.
Brave Frankie!
Probably thought that would make a tasty lunch.
best idea ever… I would suggest to run like the wind ;O)
🙂
Ha! I thought the snake was going to be the hose!
It’s good camouflage.
That was the end of that.–thankfully!
We will see what tomorrow brings. 🙂
Wow, glad that went smoothly! The snakes do show up this time of year!
I don’t know if there is a season for them this far south.
Oh yeah I bet they are out all the time there, yikes. I’m in central AL and we usually don’t see them till March/April though it can be earlier …
Our neighborhood has lawn care once a week so I think that keeps the hiding places down.
I hate snakes. One of the many reasons I prefer the great indoors. 🙂
I am not bothered by them, but Florida does have a couple of poisonous species, so it is best to be careful.
Yikes! Once I found a snakeskin on the ground. Mom wouldn’t let me anywhere near it, even though it was just an empty skin!
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Maybe that is a little overprotective. 🙂
We don’t see many snakes at our place, just everyone once in a while.
Same here, except lately.
Your snakes are bigger than our snakes. Must be the warmer weather.
We have giant Pythons down here, although I never saw one.
I can live the rest of my life without seeing a python and be perfectly happy
I agree.
